last night was about 10 degrees and warming to the upper 30’s and is real nice outside. Like Smith said we had a 3 week cold snap but all in all it’s been good. We have good snow pack for summer and mushrooms ( 2012 fire season ). It is going to be sunny and warm the rest of the week high 50’s .I think spring is here

living in Co and the age you are .I would buy 50 to 55# and shoot like crazy have a great time and never look back. My 1st bow was 61# too heavy – bad habits arm injuries on and on . I am 55 and a bow aholic oh crap wrong topic – I am 55 – all my bows are 50 to 55 and I think that will be all you will need the rest of your days, elk, deer, bear, grouse, sheep, goats , moose. Good luck

I like the side quivers or I think what they used to call a plains indian style quiver. I just don’t like any thing mounted on my bow and these quivers are versatile . I can wear them under my arm pit in front of me or just to the side and easy arrow removal .

I am also surprised at how many Waits fans there are. I know you know but just a little info John Hammond did a cover lp of all Waits tunes years ago and is excellent. Ck it out

That video was real good. When it first came on it looked like the bass player was playing a slide. I listen to a lot of music if I am traveling to hunt lately I am listening to Brian Auger on Pandora at home seems to be a good mix and that jazz video made me think of it . Great job Alex . Will look for new lp

the country I hunt is steep and rocky so I use a heavy boot Lowa Baffin pros – very comfy . Snow rain all seasons.I also carry a heavy pack so my feet are thankful of the boots I wear.

Man that bow is sweet. I would just shoot the shoot out of that thing and just do what you said. Nice job as always

Thank you . I believe I finally have this whipped . I had some brass weight and pulled the pts put 200 grn up front with a 125 pt and was at 600 and flying good. I just need to figure weights and or pts or both. It looks like I can buy a tool with weights and screw them in and out as I want to ? I will find out , I don’t want to damage my shafts with heat . Thanks you guys have really helped

do they sell pts that big? Sorry if I sound like dummy? That’s where my problem lies , do folks buy pts weights or what? I’m shooting and shopping. My wife will be proud

Thanks DP . I do hunt elk and killed with the 530 set up. If I read you right I should get heavier pts and weights up front to get to 650 700 grn . I must be over thinking this ?? I have some 55/75 but can’t seem to get the good flight as I do with the 35/55.I will order some weights and and try to beef up the front and see what happens.

I’m in the same boat as Wolf and it’s driving me crazy. My bow is 54# @ 25″ I am shooting Gold Tip 35/55 full length.I put weight tubes in and 125 grn pts finished off at 550grns arrows fly great (killed with this set up ) . I took all my tubes out and put 250 grn pt up front to get 530 arrows shoot like darts . I put 175 on tube arrows to get 630 and the lighter arrows fly better. So do I leave tubes in and cut shafts or do I buy weights and a tool and keep weighting the front end of the 530grn arrows ? I am really messed up on this and it seems to be getting spendy .
