in reply to: Warning to sellers: a scam artist here #32326
Joe,
What state is the scammer living in?
in reply to: right idea wrong execution #32324Nice job getting them in close. Keep at it. It will happen. I called a little 6 point in last night to 10 yards. Little fellow is protected or I would have taken a shot. But man it is cool to get them in close on the ground. Good luck.
in reply to: Totally Traditional #32319I would keep it or loan it to a good friend. You never know when you might need it do to an injury of some type.
Good luck with the trad gear.

in reply to: The Hammock Seat #26070in reply to: Lost Season, Maybe Worse #26030Don,
Sounds like you got the problem well in hand. Sucks about this bow season but that leaves more time for the left handed beer drinking practice sessions. Enjoy the beer…abd maybe the gun season?
in reply to: Ground Hunnting #24907Congrats and great job Smiley! Great looking deer!
in reply to: Shooting Gloves #23628SH,
I use the stick-tite myself. When I started shooting I went through several designs. Found the stick-tite and it is all I use. Been using then original for 5 years now. I bought several more and shot them in for backups as well. They get nice and flexible but still sturdy after years of use. Plus they stay in place like the name saids.
in reply to: The Hammock Seat #22169Thanks fellas. But I have to confess. I had an old Italian seamstress do the needle work. Took her 10 minutes and she did a great job. She said before she atarted doing clothes she worked in a drapery shop in Italy for 20 years. The fabric is a little heavier then the original but not much. I ended having the webbing (bluewater tublar nylon)wrap around the post to give me two holding points on each end. Seems to have really firmed up the attachment. I will post some daylight and closeup pics soon.
in reply to: The Hammock Seat #21570Well I love my hammock seat as well but it came apart at the bottom where the webbing is attached to the post. I ordered some repelling webbing and codora nylon and made a new one. The fabric is about a foot bigger then the original so it comes above the head on the tree. The sides can come up around the shoulders as well if wanted. I have used it in the yard but not hunting yet. Here is the a pic from my first test.
in reply to: Quiet this recurve…. #16636Jason,
I put moleskin on the ends of my recurve where the string touches the bow. It worked well for me. I got in at the gander mountain in greensburg (as well as the limb savers) I never tried the soft part of velcro that I use as an arrow rest but that might work as well. I also put on small recurve limbsavers. They also helped a bit with hand vibration. Some pics. Good luck!
