In the Jun/Jul 2018 issue, we launched a new column: Skin A Cat (as in “there’s more than one way to…” ). The first topic is choice of bow, so we are curious how many of our readers shoot each type of bow. Please vote in the poll below. The results will be posted in the Aug/Sep 2018 issue.

I was only able to select one type of bow in the poll. I shoot recurves and longbows about equally. There should have been an option for that as well…..David Mitchell
I like to shoot a recurve. The longbows I have shot have left me with elbow trouble with the hand shock.
It depends on the hunt. Whether I carry a recurve bow or a longbow, I prefer a long limb length because it makes for a more forgiving bow. A long limb length just feels smoother to draw and release the string. My favorite recurve bow is a 66″ takedown with maple limbs and my favorite longbow is a 68″ one-piece made from osage. I’f I want higher arrow speed and accuracy, I’ll go with a recurve. If I want a quieter bow that is lighter in weight, I’ll carry a longbow.
Pretty easy. I shoot one bow, a Leon Stewart Slammer r/d longbow. Love it. Dwc
Ihunt with my Bob Morrison recurve.but I also made a longbow I like to hunt with to try to use small dia.arrows fmj
I shot with a recurve .I like the way they draw and i am very comfortable with them.carbon arrows work well.
