in reply to: Arm bands …………. cheap !! #142179
Glad you found something you like. Thanks for sharing. Krista Holbrook did a Tip of the Week for us on how to make your own arm bands, which allows you to make them in different sizes. Just a thought…
in reply to: Wood arrows #142148I’m glad you mentioned Andy. Kerri recorded a podcast with him and it went live today. He’s a great guy and builds beautiful arrows.
in reply to: What ya got goin'? 2 #142001Wasps and the like, and even some bees get feisty in the fall because there is less food. Bees winter over, but the others don’t, from what I understand. They know they are going to die… I hope your friend is feeling better soon. That’s awful.
Anyway, my daughter and I each got a beehive this year and it’s been fun. Never expected honey since we live out in the desert, but I’ve collected nine frames twice now. They are amazing! So that’s my “What Did You Do This Summer?” story. Hope you are all having a great fall.
in reply to: Danger of Dragging #142000Hmmm…I see a Tip of the Week in the making. 😉
in reply to: Selway slide on bow quiver #141540Hello Ty and welcome to the forum. It sounds like your arrow shafts might be too narrow for the rubber grips on that quiver. Selway sells different sizes, so you might contact them. Or you might find this tip helpful.

in reply to: Ashby Bowhunting Foundation Website #140420BTW—I chatted with Dr. Ed and he is doing well. Had a recent surgery and is feeling much better, although still recovering. I was so glad to hear that he’s doing well. There’s a man who has dedicated many years to the study of arrow penetration and the effects of heavy arrows. Good on you Dr. Ed! I’m so happy to see his work moving forward.
Love the pictures and looking forward to more stories and photos. Happy to allow this off-topic thread as long as you throw in a few “here’s me drawing my pretend bow”. Ha ha, and that reminds me of Col. Mike for those of you around here a few years ago.
(The only other off topic thread allowed is What ya got going? 2)
Thanks, Mom
in reply to: TBM Article on hunting deer with lightweight bows #139281Hi Bud. Unfortunately, I can’t find anything specific with those words in the title. Any number of articles could have talked about it, but it didn’t get noted in my search index. I found a recent article by G. Fred Asbell in the Feb/Mar 19 issue that talks about draw weight. Here is a link in case that’s the one you are thinking of. If not, I would need to know approximately when it was published, maybe the author, something to help me pinpoint the exact article so I can find it for you.

in reply to: Oops! Error on Jun/Jul Cover #139280Hi Mike! Nice to see you here again. This year it will be me and Kerri going to ETAR. I decided last year that traveling and attending the shoot is way easier than sending Kerri and Jon and me taking care of their kids, dogs, cat, chickens, etc. (Jon is not happy he gets that duty! I’ll let him go next year.) Looking forward to seeing you.
in reply to: Black Widow Long Autumn Gray LH for Sale #139270Good luck selling your bow. It sounds very nice! Here’s a quick rundown on how to post images.
When you are typing a post, look in the tools in the Visual tab and you’ll see a square with mountains and a sun. Then you can upload your image. If you use a photo website that uses a form of code (Imgur, Photobucket, etc.), you would click the Text tab and paste it there. I hope that makes sense. Trial and error is the best way to see if something works. If you are sizing your images, 600px wide is good. Just let me know if you have any trouble. You can also email me directly at webmaster@tradbow.com. That’s easier for me than the forum messaging system.
in reply to: What ya got goin'? 2 #139218And the same to you, Scout.
Wishing all of our members a very Happy Independence Day.
in reply to: What ya got goin'? 2 #138765R2, I don’t think it was you, I think there was a problem with our site when putting links to videos. I got an error when I tried it too, so I made a change on our site to allow them again. (New security, so everyone please let me know if you have a problem.)
Here’s a refresher for linking to a video. If you have questions, email me at webmaster@tradbow.com and I’ll be happy to help. Now I want to see the video of the frisbee dog. 😉
To post a video go to YouTube and find the video you want.
Under the video, click Share.
Then click Embed.
Copy that code and come back to the forum page.
In the reply box, in the upper right corner click the Text tab.
Paste the code (see below). Here’s a new video from The Push Family.
Click the Visual tab and you should see the video. Type in any message you want and then click Submit.in reply to: What ya got goin'? 2 #138450Awesome!
in reply to: Side Quiver #138326Hi Mark. Just so you know, Steve is currently hiking the Appalachian Trail with his son and we don’t expect to hear from him until August. And we can’t wait for the stories! Good luck with your search for a GFA quiver. Have you tried contacting them directly? You can email Teresa Asbell at tasbell22@msn.com It’s worth a shot if you haven’t already tried that.
