Hi Roger,
Welcome to the forum. We have a small but dedicated following, and perhaps someone here can help you. You might also check eBay and Trad Gang forum to find one of your old bows. Good luck with your search.

in reply to: What ya got goin'? 2 #147751WOW! I’m glad you’re alive and back at the campfire! I kinda missed your grumpiness. How’s your granddaughter? She must be all grown up by now. Good to have you back.

in reply to: Black Swan #147518Awesome! He’s been an advertiser for many years, and there was a profile on him in the Apr/May 2015 issue. Let me know if you’d like a copy of the article.

in reply to: Small game hunting, Ace Hex Head or The Hammer..? #147385Send them to me at webmaster@tradbow.com and I’ll load them.
in reply to: T.J.’s Books #146929I’ll tell him, but I don’t know if it will do any good. He would like to write more books, so it could happen. I hope you enjoy the two you are getting. The two Don Thomas books we offer are very good as well. And there are more of Don’s books at donthomasbooks.com

in reply to: Changes at Traditional Bowhunter #146898Excellent questions. Thanks, Guy.
Here’s the scoop. I hope it’s not too twisted! If you subscribe now, you will start with Aug/Sep. However, because of the timing of our printing and mailings, that issue will be in the store before you would get it in the mail. So really, it’s up to you. Sign up now and we mail the Aug/Sep around the end of July (in stores mid-July), or buy Aug/Sep at the store and sign up after July 20 to start with the Oct/Nov issue, which you should get around the end of August.
Clear as mud, right? This is the place for questions…from any of you.

in reply to: Competition vs Hunting Arrows #146847I’ll see if I can get Jason Wesbrock to chime in. Jared, you might also check out The Push Archery. They have a great podcast and some YouTube videos about tuning and such. Matt Zirnsak shoots competitively and also hunts.
in reply to: Am I a Trad shooter…? #146846Hello Guy, and welcome to the campfire! You’ll find we are a small, but open-minded group and I think you’ll like it. My opinion has always been more about how you hunt (ethics and such), than what you hunt with. And the term “traditional” means many things to many people. Don’t get caught up in the details. You do you, but do it in such a manner that it gives respect to the animals you hunt.

in reply to: Martin Family Ranch Texas ??? #146715Keep trying Richard. They are still advertising in the magazine, so my guess is they are still taking hunters. Who knows, though, after all this virus stuff. Good luck.
in reply to: Monarch Bows, Monty Moravec? #146600Sorry, just seeing this. I will forward the message to T.J.

in reply to: Straight Fletch Article #146266In case you didn’t read it in the Feb/Mar 2019 issue, Steve Graf wrote a great article for our Traditional Wisdom column.
in reply to: John Schulz Longbows Value Opinions #145921Hi Robert. Welcome to the forum. John Schulz made beautiful bows and he is a wonderful man. Haven’t seen him for years, but I’ve always admired him. I have no idea on the value of the bows, so hopefully someone here will chime in. You might also try contacting John directly through his website Straight Shooting
Have a great day
