I also have Heartsblood and it, too, is a powerful book.

Like you, I am a tradesman, and must wear safety boots at work. A necessary evil in order to protect my feet so I can pursue barefoot activities at home. If you have never gone barefoot before, then start slow!! Walk bare feet, gravel is your friend! Running, that’s a whole different ballpark!

You will want to switch over to minimalist shoes, there are lots out there! Good luck, have fun!!

Glad we can all agree to disagree! Lol! Happy hunting, warm feet with whatever you choose to wear on your feet!

Mike, got your PM, glad I was able to help, we’ll talk!! Cheers!

While my Arrows aren’t totally waterproof, it does take awhile to get wet unless you submerge totally! The tire crumbs/contact cement mixture on the soles work really well! Walked some really wet, steep billed terrain no problem.

                  A big thanks–the double soled lace boot–I’m on it:D

Might have to talk to you about one of them knives8)

                  PS. Isn’t barefoot-en great?

Yes, barefoot in is awesome! That’s the issue I have with Bean boots. Don’t like the heel on them. I see Arrow makes a mukluk, might be looking at them for winter! If you get the lace boot, get them a bit bigger, especially if you plan to wear them with a couple of pairs of socks. I’m sure if you talk to Paul there, he will get you sorted out.

BTW, always open to knife conversation!!

Have a look at Arrow Mocassins, I have 2 pairs, absolutely bomb proof! You won’t wear them out in your lifetime! They are way cheaper than Carl Dyers! I have the Bush Boot and Lace Boot.

Traction! Contact cement mixed with tire crumbs, painted on your soles long before hunting season= awesome traction!!

Yoga! That’s when there’s 2 guys in a 2 man tent at -20C, and you have to get up and take a leak in the middle of the night! AKA “tent yoga”!

I say do it, should improve balance, flexibility.

I could have shot a wolf with with my longbow last season. He walked right up to within 25 yards of me, and would have walked right past me had I not decided that 25 yards was close enough. I had no intention of shooting him. Sure was a nice looking critter, jet black!

Took this small 4×4 at 4 yards. Complete pass through with a 750 grain grizzlystik Alaskan tipped with 200 grain kodiak giving an FOC of around 25%. Bow was a 57 lbs recurve. Harvested in northern Alberta. First morning out seen some cows headed down a cut line before they seen us. No bull with them but figured one would be along shortly being the middle of the rut. Maneuvered to a shooting position on their trail after they had gone by and 4 minutes latter this young guy showed up on the trail with his nose to the ground and his eyes rolled in the back of his head! He made me look good. After the shot he went 30 yards and fell dead within seconds. My hunting partner got within 30 yards of two different 5 x 5’s with no shot opportunities.

Nice job fellow Albertan!! Was up in 344 early season, saw one bull, but no shot!

Have also made my own coffee bags by tying a coffee filter with dental floss around a good scoop of coffee. Makes pretty fair brew.

Not sure I can find that stuff up here in the great white north, but I’ll certainly try!! Thanks!

Ouch! Would hate to stumble into that anytime! My biggest worry was branches in the face. Normally I pack a pair of clear safety glasses for that purpose.
