I traded with a good friend of mine today. He shoe’s horses and has recently started using old files and turning them into knifes…So I traded him a bow for knife.

Here is the bow which included the wood he choose – Hickory riser with walnut and purpule heart, the overlays on riser and nocks are cherry wood. All black locust core wood and sycamore veneers.

The knife he made is a transformed file with local Manzanita wood handle.

        The bow is 60″ & 55# @ 28″

The knife fits great in my hand and has some weight to it…it feels good and is shaving sharp!

One correction this bow had Red Elm veneers not sycamore. The bow I just finished has sycamore veneers so I had sycamore on the brain.

            Cameron,

Obviously, you have some talent of your own… those are handsome looking bow there. I can’t shoot low wristed bows for sour snot, but I like it’s looks a LOT!

As for the knife…MEAN looking thing it is! 😈
