in reply to: How many bows do you have? #9784
I love it Etter and it’s been my training tool from the start of my trad love affair. But I’m getting a longing for one of Henry’s beautiful creations and something special just for me, if you know what I mean…

Just found the acting/directing awful. I wanted to fast-forward through it to get the archery scenes, but Caroline nixed that. I look forward to other votes here … and am not above another try.
That was me Dave, sorry you didn’t like it. I’m surprised as my wife enjoyed it and she’s not into archery or eastern cinema. As for me, I love old Shaw Bro’s films so I’d watch anything 😆 In fact, give me cheesy oriental revenge films over most of the Hollywood rubbish any day 🙄
in reply to: Being followed #9752Well Ralph, just because you’re paranoid doesn’t mean they’re not after you… 😯 😆
in reply to: How many bows do you have? #9738Only my cheap and cheerful Samick Sage but I’m aiming to get Henry Bodnik of Bearpaw in Germany to make me a custom bow in the next year or so, finances allowing!
in reply to: New Bow Arrived! #63854A beauty Etter! Enjoy 8)

Michael it goes like this – Matthew 15:11 It is not what goes into the mouth that defiles a person, but what comes out of the mouth; this defiles a person.
Some pretty sound advice no matter what persuasion you are I reckon. So go for the yote, but I think I’ll pass, as anything that is reported to smell that bad when skinned just doesn’t tickle my taste buds 😯

Like you Mark, it’s $7.90 US per gal(US) here and practically all tax 🙄 But at least my Toyota Avensis diesel does about 57 m/gal(UK) and this is a pretty small place compared to that big ol’ country across the ocean!
Good post and great advice 8)

Similarly, I think you’ll beat France on Saturday but then again hard to know which French team will turn up! Hope you enjoy it. You should try get over to Lansdowne, they’ve done a really nice job with the place. Twickers is pretty impressive though, I was over a while back following a little team called Leinster – you might have heard of them 😉
in reply to: Idaho Pictures #61651Wow etter, a beautiful place and a fine cat for your friend. I never did like coin toss 🙄

Mark, if I have you pinned in the right nation you guys gave us a sore beating sunday week ago. I was there and to hear “the chariot” ringing around lansdowne was painful! We shot ourselves in the foot while you guys did the basics right, and that’s how you win rugby games. Question is, will you do the grand slam???
So many interests – so little time… Music, playing guitar and singing are very important to me. Cycling with my good buddy. Rugby and hurling, but only following now as I’m getting a bit creaky and sensible to play anymore! Fishing, mainly saltwater. And lots of reading, mainly non-fiction. And a few intellectual pints in the local, or two, or three… 😉

How true Dave! I notice the same thing most times I’m shooting but capturing and at the same time letting go of that focus is the hard part 😕 I suppose it’s subconscious and that’s what makes it hard to apply when all the million things are going around our heads 🙄

Sounds like a sweet deal to me 😀
in reply to: Archery Library #56098Thanks Jim. Thompson Bros will be next on my reading list now 😀
