in reply to: Ghilli suit #13829I got tired of messing with these suits and purchased a set of ASAT 3d camo. Light, cool, easy on easy off, easier to pack, easier to shoot in. The number one point is you are just as invisible in my humble but accurate opinion.
in reply to: Super Duper Extreme FoC (SDEFoC) #50217I tried it and it works great if you hold your bow upsidedown
in reply to: IS EVERYONE READY FOR TURKEY HUNTING? #42176Season starts in Ohio on April 19th runs about a month and we are allowed two birds. I own a little over 200 acres to hunt on so I will be out as much as work and kids baseball and rugby permit. I dont use a blind and was wondering how many of you all do?
in reply to: Bow fishing #41346Nice carp. I hope to give it a try this year. I need to find some reference material to get stearted. The equipment part is easy the where when how to part is the trick.
in reply to: New to archery #37407I would suggest looking on EBAY. I think you are correct in trying to keep your cost down because as you shoot more and more you might find that what you are looking for in a bow changes. If you spend too much on a bow you might feel stuck with it. Some bows are great and beautiful works of art but some styles feel comfortable to me and some dont and I think that translates into how well I shoot them. Grab a bow that feels good in every respect including financially shoot it have fun. Remember no matter what you buy someone will criticize your choice.
I don’t use a sight myself. I did back in the70s and I still have the bow and the sight. Back then about half the recurve shooters maybe more had a sight on their bow, and I was just curious as to what happened did they become compound shooters? Maybe sights on trad bows are like herpes everyone makes fun of them and if you have them you hide it. And no I don’t have them herpes or sights on my hunting bow. It is interesting to note there are lots of views but only one reply.
