I have the SF Sabortooth 140 with a 75 gr threaded addaptor, and they fly great. We will see how they perform on game this year.
But here you go on the SF BH that your talking about.

Dave I didn’t post any pics of this one today, but have others. I just get so stoke shooting this new BamaBow, you can’t imagine, but I bet you can at that.
in reply to: Got another one addicted to tradbows! #10198Bravo indeed. I just got back from my uncles where I had taken all 4 traditional bows. My uncle took to my Selfbow, and loved it and asked if I could leave it and some arrows for him to practice with.
I left the bow, arrows, extra arm guard and glove and a spare block target that I made.
HE HE HE, he’s hooked now….
I deliberately took all my bows, so he could get shooting to see if he like it, he loved it.
And I walked away with a big ol smile on my face, and an inner satisfaction knowing that his passion for the traditional will grow.
in reply to: Bow Season vs. Crossbows #9779It is however a cocked and lock shoulder fired device that usually has a scope on it.
Here is what the http://www.probowsociety.org/xbow.html has to say about it, and agree 100%.
I’m very thankful that here in Montana, I do not have to worry about some fool that trips the trigger at the least movement in the brush, where I could be camo’d out with my longbow. I really hope we here in Montana, never see the day where these are legal use during “Archery Only Season”
And that is just my .02 cents on the matter, and my feelings are set in stone.

Dave the Longbow Safari is June 26/27th
http://www.tradbowmt.org/Pages/News_Events.htmlI don’t have any woods yet with broadheads on them, so I won’t be able to shoot it this year.
in reply to: Lowcountry hogs #8460I wish we had Hawgs up here in Montana, but the only ones we got they ride and leak oil. 😛
in reply to: Fawn Creek Campground, Libby MT #8315There is also the http://www.tradbowmt.org that is having the 28th Annual North American Longbow Safari June 26th/27th 2010, Fawn Creek Campground, Libby MT.
I would like to go to this one, BUT, I won’t be there.

David
I have an early morning job I got to for 3 hours, then off until 4:30 when I start the other one… enough to wear ya out though. 😛

in reply to: broadheads #61444Thanks Tom, thank you very much.
in reply to: sick of the pain!!!!!! #61087I have a selfbow myself, and the bow lets me know when I am incorrect in my hold. The string will end up under the front of the arm guard with a sting to my wrist. I then go back to step 1# as stated above, and don’t get hit with the string.
I feel your pain, but sure do love shooting my selfbow, as its something I refinished from what was called a junker wall hanger.
