Eel is delicious. Never had it at a sushi bar? It’s my favorite thing aside from tuna.

      I wouldn’t eat a lamprey if I was starving…….. I’d rather die…….

      😆

I sure hope you’re a better shot with the recurve than you are with the shotgun..

        :D:lol:

Frito’s make a good fire starter too. Lot of oil in those corn chips!

Think I’m going to go on a hunt or two with the recurve in hand this turkey season too Sean.

However, another great meal that comes from something that will eat anything is Gator.

If people saw what one of those critters will dine on they would never touch it. I’ve have my fair share of it and brother let me tell ya, it’s great!!!:D

Fried gator tail is simply divine!!!!

Fried frog legs are right there with gator tail!

Etter, Broadhead, and myself ate a long nose gar a couple of years ago and I have to say…..the back straps on a gar, grilled over some charcoal, basted with melted butter, is pretty darn close to lobster. I was skeptical of Etter’s insistence to eat that prehistoric beast, but I caved and tried it out. Not bad at all!!!! Cleaning one is an adventure too! 😆

And the fried squirrel I ate last night was delicious as well!!

Sorry….. I’m from the south and I like to fry critters!!

I snapped this picture today on top of a ridge on some public ground I was stomping around on.

                In the piedmont of Georgia.

                  Know what you mean Dave:D

This one’s going the long run. I can promise you.

It probably sounds silly, but I can’t even leave it in the garage with my other stuff. It’s laying on a deer hide in my upstairs “man room”. 😀

You better take care of that bow… And clean your garage out too!

In regards to walking as quiet as possible. I try to do a few things in the woods.

If I’m in sneak mode, I always but my toes down first then slowly let the rest of my foot follow suit. Also you can turn your foot to the side a bit and let the side of your foot make ground contact first, then slowly roll your foot down flat. I always look for moss, dirt, wet logs on the ground, or anything that is more quiet than leaves to step in.

If you have creeks in your hunting area, walking in a creek slowly, while staying below ground level, is a great way to ease into a hunting area undetected.

Might work for a song dog too.

I can skin a rabbit, throw it all on the grill, sprinkle some salt, pepper, and then eat the entire thing in no time!!! My favorite small game!!!!

But… Fried rabbit is my favorite!!! I don’t boil rabbit, but I do boil squirrels.

I’m sorry, but I’m not eating a coyote. I’ve thought it over a for a couple of days and came to the conclusion not long ago!! You fellas can have at it, I’ll pass! LOL!

Plus, I don’t want you to say that I followed you:D

LOL! Don’t worry about following me, I’ve got Otter fur silencers on mine.:D

When we go to blackbeard island, I bring an extra string.

                                Question for you guys:

Do you carry a bow square too? How else would you know if you got your brace height and nocking point correct? I know most of my strings are twisted 20-50 times and if it gets off, itll go out of tune.

I can simply eyeball mine and get it pretty much there Etter. Buy my bow is pretty forgiving.

I’ve thought about carrying a bow square, but I’d bend that sucker to heck and back on a hunting trip..
