When it comes to archery and bowhunting gear in general, we have a lot to choose from. When making a decision, knowing where a product comes from, or knowing that the people behind the scenes might share our same core values is sometimes all the info that we need. Let’s take a quick peek at a company that has its roots firmly planted in traditional soil.

A fellow traditional bowhunter; Zing Archery Founder, Jason Vulk definitely is someone we’d all resonate with. Zing Archery was founded out of a desire to offer high-quality broadheads that feature progressive, modern designs that the average, blue-collar bowhunter can afford and depend on. Jason has done his best to cut his overhead cost wherever possible, without cutting corners where it counts, thus passing on these savings to the consumer. The bulk-style packaging is one example where Jason has kept things simple in order to be as cost-effective as possible. If you take a look at the very clean and simple Zing Archery website, you’ll find that they offer two different models, the Harvest and the Fracture. Keeping to the “clean and simple” theme, you’ll find that both models are only offered in 200 grain, right single bevel flavor.

Looking at both broadhead models, deadly is a descriptive term that comes to mind. The Harvest has 20-degree 1.5” wide sweeping blades that might possibly resemble the prodigy of a Shuttle-T Lock mated to a Simmons Treeshark. This design should inflict a good amount of carnage and yield short blood trails on whitetail-sized game. You’ll find that the Fracture is slightly longer in profile at 1.5625”, and also sports a narrower 1.125” width. Couple that with its nasty-looking tanto tip, and you can imagine deep penetration on large game like elk and moose. Both utilize 420J2 stainless steel blades and 1045 steel ferrules. Two opposing locking screws in the ferrule body allow for each model to be disassembled if desired.
