Mr petersen I love your first rule of always hunt uphill now if you could get the elk to follow it would be great for some reson i always find them in the bottom of the nasties hell hole

water ballons make good targets for that pop when hit and makes it fun and to step it up use tape and make a tic tac toe game on target the kids have a great time playing it with the bows

In my neck of the woods up here in the pacific northwest do a mix of stand and still hunting .Mainly still and spot and stalk . I hunt a mix of high alpine regions and lower coastal jungle .like still hunting the best gives more feeling of hunting . And cav thanks for your service my hats off to you.

As much as i would love to see TBM published every month .I would have to agree that would might see a down grade in the quility. Every time I get a new issue I have to have my family hide it from me for a couple days or I read it cover to cover in the first nite. But as others have said thank goodness for back issues .keep up the great work on putting out a first rate magizine.:D

Check out three rivers arrow charts they seem to have a good chart to use i like their charts due to the fact the put tip weight on there which will change spine on a arrow

I also saw those think it will solve my problem think i am going to go with those in a 400 cut to 26 inch and also use the 8 gr per inch weight tube with a 200 gr broad head 35 gr glue on point adp. and their 50 gr insert after doing the math should be around the 750 gr mark with a high foc

Mr. Peterson hope all turns out for the better you all in co.

Me and my hunting buddies are keeping our bretheren there in our prayers. Have had our share of fires here in wa. and I have spent a couple years working on fire crews and have seen the destruction it causes but on the bright side as you said when the aspen grows back it does create some good hunting .

Just because you shoot a recurve or longbow over a compound has nothing to do with ethics . I have seen guys hunting with trad gear taking unethical shots.Just as I have seen guys like myself shooting a compound which I can hit a 3inch circle at over a 100 yards all day long never take a shot past 40 yards on live game .We can sit here and argue about it all day my thing is with the united we stand was simply we all need to join together no matter what form of weapon we shoot to better our sport not lose ground cause one group thinks they are better than somebody else.

Alex i agree with you we as hunters need to start standing together or in the end we will all lose .I started as a rifle hunter still like putting one in my hands here and there to take some yotes but got into archery cause needed more challange started with the compuond now shooting a mohawk longbow looking forward to oredering a super schrew .But if the worst happens and my shoulder keeps going on the down turn then i will pick up a xbow over not hunting anymore .here in washington we lost baiting/hound hunting for bear because none hound hunters wouldnt stand beside the houndsmen .in the end UNITED WE STAND DIVEDE WE FALL
