I would have retrieved them, but you did not miss!!
At least I pushed you around in your wheelchair!
See you this upcoming week. Got a new bow! Awesome shooter!8)
in reply to: Now I've seen everything. And I'm disgusted #44118I have seen these before.
completely rediculous!
in reply to: The way to practice a perfect shot #43367Pretty cool.
If you can get in a relaxed stated, It defiantly helps focus and the shot.
But you guys already know that.
in reply to: Deer Farming #43354[quote=dfudala]I know I’m throwing gas on a bon-fire here but on a related topic I caught a clip of an “outdoor” show the other day. the segment I saw almost made me sick to my stomach. they were pushing a new product that in essence is a lightweight and portable electric fence system for food plots.
WOW!
Unbelievable!
in reply to: Deer Farming #43007This is all just wrong!
I can not believe this happens, and people are too dumb to realize how unnatural it is!
in reply to: Keeping it fun! #39345I am a wood arrow junkie!
I play and experiment with different cuts of feathers.
I am liking a 4″ trad cut feather with my woodies.
I chop a 5 1/2″ high back shield cut feather and cut 1″ from the rear.
It gives me a 4 1/4″ trad cut. Stabilizes the arrow very quick and cuts some weight in the rear.
But of course the arrow needs tuned good first. I bare shaft each wood arrow before Fletching. I make sure they fly great before the are feathered up!
I wish I could upload some pics, I would show you guys how they look.
They look pretty cool!8)
in reply to: Keeping it fun! #38509Cool thread guys.
Smith, I do the same thing at my place. I am not a stand at the target and shoot kinda guy!
I shoot different angles, elevated….you name it.
I love stumping as well, but unlike you guys, I have to drive at least 30 min to my hunting grounds to do so.
Unfortunately, I live in suburbia right now, but the little Miss and I are thinking of selling and moving away from people a little and having a little more property.
Mike, I cannot wait to do some stumping with you soon! I love the exercise, shooting practice and good company!
Do I need to get a hunting license to stump on public land?
You do in PA.
See ya Sunday at 0830.
in reply to: I got this old BOW #38488Heck ya!
As long as there is no major stress marks in the limbs or warping.
Shoot it!
Enjoy!:D
in reply to: Cold Weather Gloves #26523Mike,
I saw those boots! I was actually thinking of them.
You will have to show me them when I get down there next!
I like to do the same when it’s too cold! Although my young and dumb butt would still try and go out first. Then I would be in once I realize it’s too cold!:?
in reply to: My arrows. #26406All my wood arrows fly great!
Even the higher FOC ones I just made.
I pick spine and tip weight and bare shaft them.
Get them close by bare shafting, then fletch them!
I used to fletch with 5″ trad cut feathers, but now I am making my own 4″ trad cuts! Reduces weight in the rear and still stabilizes it quick!
I tried 3″, but 4″ is the ticket!
in reply to: Cold Weather Gloves #26060😛 LOL
Red, Me too!
I can stay warm in the core, my my fingers and toes do not last long!
I am still on the hunt for the perfect foot and hand protection to keep warm.
This is one reason I want to get out of the tree stand and walk/still hunt more!
in reply to: Cold Weather Gloves #25368Mike,
You need to fill me in on this!
I have same problem with my fingers and toes.
Mike, I would gladly push your wheelchair into your hunting spot! But who you kidding, you still got lots of life left in those old legs! Lol:lol:
Seriously tho, I had a ton of fun. I am looking forward to many more fun shooting times and some hunting!
I will bring you some more targets next time.
