in reply to: Kanati Solo Quiver #27067
I am using the same set up. Solo with a Safari Tuff side quiver.
My Tuffhead 225 head fits nice and snug. Covers the head completely.
in reply to: What spine shaft for 29% FOC in 50# bow? #25324I am no expert at this carbon and EFOC thing, but here is what I ended up with for my bow.
I currently shoot a 52# @ 26″ recurve. 26″ is my draw.
My set up is:
Gold Tip Pro Hunters 55/75-400 spine cut end to end 28 7/8″
GT gt nocks. 100g insert, 225 head, and a 25g footing.
Fletched with my own cut 2 1/2″ A & A feathers and turbulator tape.
Total weight of 607g and 28.72% EFOC.
They fly pretty good for my less that perfect form. But I am happy with them right now.
Now I need to get those deer to stop seeing me draw on them!!:x
in reply to: Quiet this recurve…. #24340Thanks for all the tips.
I got it shooting pretty good and proably as quiet as it’s going to get. It just has a small thump upon the shot.
I end up padding the limb grooves with calf hair and raising the brace height to 8 1/8″.
in reply to: Footings, Spine, and Feathers Oh My!? #20450Joe&Mike,

First off, Thanks for your info, help and products!
I love experimenting with arrows. It is actually a sickness!
Wow, just some tape? I thought it was some kind of special top secret NASA stuff! 😆
I guess I have to get more footings!
I will order today!:D
in reply to: broadheads for grouse and pheasant #19039Thanks! I just ordered a bunch to get some set ups.
Now I need to go bird hunting somewhere!

in reply to: Footing for gt 7595 traditional #18167I just bought the footings from Tuffhead for my GT Pro Hunters and Beman ics Hunters. They fit nice.
in reply to: Quiet this recurve…. #16640Thats what I was thinking Brennan.
I am going to skip the limbsavers, I have no hand shock. Just a little twang.
You live near Greensburg? I do!
I heard you met MIke!?
in reply to: Quiet this recurve…. #16622the bow is 52# @ 26, which is my draw.
that puts me at 11.7gr/pound.
i have my efoc arrows flying pretty good.
it is kind of a twang, i guess…
My bare shaft shots from 6 yards:
I put a piece of 1/2″ tape vertically on my target.
The first 2 were right on the tape.
Most of the groups were to the right about 1.5″ but grouped good.
( I would have posted pics, but my files are too large…?)
I thought I was going to get my first Robin Hood!:D
Man I love this new Palmer Recurve! Smooth and fast!8)
