Yes, it was a club shoot open to the public. I have been shooting at this club for a year now. They also have a Thursday night indoor trad shoot with indoor 3d. Lots of fun and great people. The club is Strictly Sticks Traditional Archery Club. I attached a link Below for the winter 3d schedule and directions. The club is in Westmorland County near Mt. Pleasant.

Thanks for the kind remark Mike! Brennan and I will try to carry on the future of trad archery and hunting.

As for the best shooter of the day, hands down goes to Brennan! I am going to take his advise and just shoot for form during the week.

Brennan and Mike, I have to say, I had the BEST time today with you guys! I could not ask for a better pair of guys to spend a 3d shoot with! We defiantly NEED to shoot together way more often. I think we would have a BLAST stump shooting together! I will feel like I fit in better once I get my Elkheart!(Gregg, if you are reading this, I shot both of they’re Elkhearts, and I am not sure I can wait till Feb…)

Brennan, Keep in touch and Mike, see you this up coming holiday weekend!

2015 elk hunt? Food for thought…

As I stated above, I would shoot a bedded animal if it was a good clean shot…..Funny, because last Friday I snuck up on a yearling doe within 10′! She finally saw me and I did not have the heart to do it.

Instead, she posed for a photo shoot! I considered that a sucessful hunt!

I do not like to be in the woods during rifle season. Buut, since I did not fill my tag (again) in archery season, I will be out this year with the orange on. I will be using my recurve! 8)

                Smith,

I have been looking at getting one of these packs for some time. Does the back quiver work well with this pack? I was wondering if it kinda got in the way or didnt work well together? I use the same quiver you do. I love it. I am not a fan of bow quivers.

If I was able to sneak up on a bedded buck(which I did last week)and the shot was able to be placed, I would take it.

I had this exact thing happen to me last week. Although I was going to knock an arrow and wait him out to stand. As I nocked an arrow…..he busted me! I was super happy to have made it within 8 yards of him, and he had no clue I was there. I look at it as a success even though a kill was not made.8)

That was my 3rd ground encounter with this 6 point! I have 2 more days to get him!

Now that I broke in my Bear Paw speed glove, I love it. My release is so much smoother and my shooting is better because of it.

But, it took forever to break it in.

                            I had a slick stick.

                            It was very nice!

Thats what I thought, so just build them the same, or should I drop the blunt to a 175? instead of the 225. It will change my efoc, but weight will get closer. I figure small game/stumps shouldn’t need such a heavy blunt…..?
