in reply to: Posting Pictures in the Forums #50231
Hmmm…that is a problem since I’ve encouraged everyone to use Photobucket in my instructions. Could this be a setting on your computer or in your browser program? I use Safari and have set my Preferences (under Appearance) to load images when page opens. I am not too familiar with Internet Explorer or PC settings as I have a Mac. But I’d be happy to look into it. Tell me what system software you use (ie. Windows 7, Windows XP, etc.) and what browser you use (Internet Explorer 7, 8, 9) and I’ll do some more research.
in reply to: Backpack and Quiver #47062Thanks, Gary. Glad you could join us to answer Todd’s question. π
Art Vincent has been an advertiser in TBM for many, many years. Although Gary’s custom pack is not available, maybe Art has something else you would like. His business is Cedar Ridge Leatherworks.
in reply to: this new format??? #43632Wow. This is the first I’ve heard of it. I know they were going to do maintenance on our site last weekend. Maybe they did it yesterday.
I am sorry for any inconvenience. π³ Hopefully that won’t happen again.
Thanks,
in reply to: 7th Annual Eastern Ohio Rendezvous #43199Wayne, no harm done. I just saw it as an opportunity to remind folks that we have a calendar, too. Sorry if I came across too Webmotherly. π³ That was not my intention.
in reply to: this new format??? #43195The only thing we changed is to combine five or six forums into two. Most everything else should be the same. Please tell me here or send a PM as to what you don’t like, so I can try to fix it. We are open to constructive criticism. I can’t make any promises, as we are limited to what the software/vendor can do, but I’ll sure give it my best try.
This week there has been a problem with uploading photos. I’m working on that but it shouldn’t affect photos in the forum as they are posted from an outside source. Post a photo in the Campfire Forum
I have a big project with Sold Out issues coming up and I’ll be working on those one at a time so if some of those look different that is why. I am adding the ability to download those issues to the computer for Premium Members.
So, other than the above-mentioned known issues, let’s open this up and get some feedback as to what you would like to see different.
in reply to: 7th Annual Eastern Ohio Rendezvous #42055You can also get directions through the link on our calendar of events. Just sayin’…:D
Calendar of Events can be submitted by anyone with the details for traditional shoots and events. All shoots advertised in the magazine will be posted here automatically.
in reply to: Tarantula hawk #39944Wow! That’s pretty amazing. Thanks for sharing.
in reply to: Eagle Eye Champion-Ron Swartz #38928I have deleted several posts on this thread because they did not pertain to the topic. Any questions can be sent to me at webmaster@tradbow.com
Thanks,
in reply to: even MORE contemplations! #38794Steve Sr.: We don’t pay by the word, but keep ’em coming. Between you and Doc everyone is getting their fill of reading. π
wildschwein: I have long ago suggested that long posts and replies be typed in a Word or text document, then cut and pasted it into the forum post. I know that dang “inactivity” stuff is frustrating. π I wish I could change it, but this is what we have to work with. π
in reply to: My new hunting buddy #38777Very nice! Good of ya to keep the economy moving. π
in reply to: St. Charles quiver #29952Thanks guys. I appreciate your enthusiasm. We did look into that a few years ago. The problem is our contracts back then did not give us rights to electronic versions of the articles, (they do now) so we can’t “sell” those issues without paying the authors again. We can post them here in a read-only format, but you aren’t buying them with a Premium Membership, you are buying the current issues and the sold out issues are a bonus, like the 10% discount. I hope that answers your question.
in reply to: St. Charles quiver #28920Always happy to help. Post a picture of your quiver when you get it built. π
We have a TBM Index file in the Download Library that all members can download. It is an Excel file and I have recently changed it to show a different text color if the issue is sold out.
I am always happy to help you find something, but I’m not always here. π If you get tired of waiting for me to reply either send me a direct email or use the index file.
Thanks,
in reply to: St. Charles quiver #28828There was an article in the Oct/Nov 1994 issue of Traditional Bowhunter titled How to Make a St. Charles Backquiver. That issue is still available in print so I don’t have it in digital format. The cost is $5 if you live in the US and that includes postage. Here is the link to the print version, Oct/Nov 1994 or you can call Allie in the Subscription Department at 888-828-4882.
Take care,
in reply to: FastFlight Strings #23434Here’s another option from an old Tip of the Week.
Nock Fit by T.J. Conradsin reply to: Doc? David? Everyone? You seen these? #20606Welcome back Ed. It’s so good to have you chatting with us again.
I guess I need to post more often too if folks think they are in trouble when I chime in. Besides, if anyone is “in trouble” I try to handle it privately. π
