in reply to: Hipsters who hunt #39676
Well, I can’t very well delete all the references to “liberals”, and I appreciate that all of you are being mature about this, but let’s avoid broad general statements of any political nature. Some do take offense, even if they don’t jump into the discussion and make it an argument. No more reference to liberals, leftists, etc. please.
in reply to: Posting Pictures in the Forums #39614Testing multiple photo upload. Seems to work for me ๐

in reply to: About to give up. #28803Have you checked for cross dominance? No, it’s not anything kinky , it’s when a right handed shooter has a dominant left eye. It’s difficult to get consistent results with this situation and it usually means learning to shoot left handed. Here is a quick tip we did a few years back that might help you. Dominant Eye
Good luck!
in reply to: Magic Beans!?! #22116I totally agree with all of you that this isn’t what hunting was meant to be.
I disabled the link for technical reasons. Every time one of us clicks that link they see that someone from Tradbow.com is interested in their site. I think that sends a bad message because they don’t know we are looking in horror. ๐ฏ Anyone interested in seeing the deer Duncan was talking about, please copy the web address without the quotation marks and paste it into your browser.
Thanks,
in reply to: Happy Thanksgiving!!! #16601Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! Today (and every day) I am thankful that T.J. loves to cook. ๐ I hope you all have a great day. Be safe if you are traveling, or shopping ๐ฏ this weekend.
in reply to: Maryland Bear Hunt Video #54108Great video, Chris. Always fun to see your work, and I see much improvement. I half expected to see pink fletching go after that squirrel!

in reply to: Brand new bow. Is there a problem? #50675Jmsmithy, I tried uploading a photo from my iPhone as an attachment below and the file was too big. I had to use an app from Photobucket, but you can choose any photo sharing app that you like. Posted instructions in that thread over at the Campfire forum, but you can always send the picture to me at webmaster@tradbow.com and I’ll post it for you. ๐
in reply to: Posting Pictures in the Forums #50673You can probably use any image sharing app, but I use Photobucket because I’m familiar with it.
Upload the image from your phone to Photobucket. Press on the small “i” to get the link for sharing, and choose the IMG link by touching it. Then come back to the forum and paste the link into your post. You don’t have to use the icons above the message text box if your link already has the IMG tag.
If all else fails, email the picture to me at webmaster@tradbow.com and tell me where you want it posted. I will make it happen. ๐
in reply to: 25 Degree angle of cut? #46343Hi OpenSky1, and welcome to the site. I am moving your thread to the Friends of FOC forum, where Ashby studies and findings are discussed. Dr. Ashby pops into the forum when he can, and David Petersen is usually pretty active there, but he is off the grid this week. Hopefully, someone else in that forum can answer your question.
Take care,
in reply to: Silencer Mystery…? #27712Jmsmithy wrote: Here’s a question…where do you put your silencers? Do you break up your string in measured sections OR do you look to see where oscillations converge after plucking?
I’ve seen/heard both methods and honestly can’t tell difference. I have some new SBD strings that I’m setting up and can’t decide which method to use….
Here’s a recent Tip of the Week that might help with where to put the silencers, and why. Heterodyning I hope it helps.
in reply to: Shooting the Hill #15544Thanks, Berny. Small world indeed. ๐
Seldomseen, when I set up an account and logged into Berny’s site I could see the videos without logging in to a Facebook account. Please try it that way.
in reply to: Shooting the Hill #15516Seldomseen, I have looked online and at YouTube and I can’t find any other copies of this video. I signed up for an account at Archery Duns but it’s pending so I don’t know if an account holder with them can access the videos from that site. My guess is no. They seem to be embedded in Facebook. And I’m thinking that is a copyright infringement…but I could be wrong. Anyway, I found a copy of the video (VHS) for sale at Amazon.com for $49.95 ๐ฏ You might try calling Kustom King Archery or 3Rivers Archery to see if they have a copy. Might try your local library too, and see if they can order it.
Happy hunting,
in reply to: Burgers – Don Thomas Style #11768There was an article in the Traditional Wisdom section of the Oct/Nov issue (page 68 & 69) but I’ve posted the article Building A Better Venison Burger as a pdf file for you. It’s more than just a recipe so this seemed easier.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Don and Lori, and Don’s family this morning.

You’re welcome. Glad I could help. Right below the green links banner there are a few links in green text and underlined. I just did a “Search” for the term “3 under” and came up with a few current and previous posts. This works for searching for names too, but if a user name has a period in it, the dang search doesn’t work. ๐ฏ It might be handy if you want to search for a specific topic, but it isn’t perfect…
in reply to: Split Fingers to 3 Under Converts #10839This might be the post by Hiram on the same subject.
