You’re welcome! Gotta give Dave P. some credit there too. And really, we shouldn’t be talking bad about other sites, so let’s keep that to a minimum.
in reply to: Facebook Fued #39451Maybe they need a Mom on those sites. ๐ And no, I’m not volunteering for the job! I’m so glad that you all play nice.

I don’t have time right now to hunt for the other articles (barely have time to get ready for the upcoming turkey season!) โ maybe our Webmom can help with that?
I see two others: Apr/May 04 Spot & Stalk Ground Grizzlies by Ron Rohrbaugh (available in print) and Dec/Jan 13 Making Prairie Grizzlies Taste Good by Randy King (available in both print and digital).
in reply to: Purple Heart #29082Will do, Mike.
I do know that a project like this can get expensive for Kevin, too. If anyone is inclined to help him keep these going out, please email him directly.

Hey Webmom, do you know of such a book and where we might find it? ๐
(Pages 116-18 and 121-22: The Traditional Bowhunter’s Handbook By T. J. Conrads
I’m told our Webmom knows the author pretty well. She might be able to get an autograph for you.)
I do know that guy… The handbook explains a lot about shooting traditional bows and arrows–including building arrows–but nothing for building bows.
Also, a big thanks to all the experienced members on this forum who generously share their knowledge. That can’t be bought in one book!
in reply to: leathernecks fall in #17549Ha ha! Don’t make me be the responsible one! And I’m guessing every 4 star general had a Mom that “outranked” him. ๐
in reply to: leathernecks fall in #15863Wow! I’m honored to be included in this adventure. It does sound like a lot of fun! And I would love to meet all of you in person. Don’t let my schedule sway you, but May 2015 is out. Other than that I’ll have to see what happens. ๐

Ha ha ha! We hate cats too, so I understand your sentiment. We are training our cat to be a good dog. As for putting up with you guys…remember I’m married to T.J. This is cake for me! Send my best to Lin…I think we’d get along well. Now back to the knife topic…

A forum for just group hunts ? That would be cool. Thanks Mom.
I can set it up that way, but I think that talking about more than one hunt at a time could get confusing. When there is a second group hunt, topic titles will have to include some kind of hunt identifier…but here I go making it all difficult. I’ll open the new forum today. ๐

well that didn’t work either–so my penance is having 3 of our dogs in bed tonight:shock:
Maybe spring will come soon so I can get out in the woods without running dogs:D
Mike
We don’t have a dog, but I’m sending our annoying cat to sleep with you too! My fault! Ha! Maybe we need Smithhammer to do a photo shoot tutorial, and not just how to load the pictures in a post. If you make your images about medium size (640 px or 8 in) and low quality (72 dpi) they should load on our site just fine.
in reply to: New Traditional Archery #7688I’m sure some of the other members will chime in soon, but here is a link to the Glossary of Archery Terms posted on our site. That might help with some of your questions. I would also suggest you get T.J.’s book, The Traditional Bowhunter’s Handbook. Pick the Shopping Cart that applies to you and the book is about halfway down the page. If there is anything else I can help you with, please let me know.

…and our system isn’t user friendly. ๐ฅ TradSpace is the place to go to “friend” others and post other photos, etc. It is a little-used part of our site, but I’d like to see more activity there. The link is in the green bar right next to Classified Ads. Let me know if you have questions. I think there is also a Help section there to explain a few things.
