I’ve always been pretty much a 2 Blade fan. I tried the woodsman years back and I was not thrilled over the idea of filing the tip of broadhead because if it’s design. This new design I believe is superior to the former, and I am looking forward to giving them a try. ,

I stump shoot a lot during the off season all my bows are between 50 – 55 # so they are moderate weight not heavy. But, I have found that Judo’s work best along with Laminated Birch shafts, I believe any heavy wood like ash, hickory and Lam Birch will hold up very well to the rigors of stumping. I save old shot out fletch target cedar arrows and re-fletch them for stumping too. But cedar’s are going to break sooner or later more frequently than the heavier woods.

GreentreeArcher I hear ya. Our Small Game seasons run right up to the end of February. And I do like to get out during this time, not only for small game, but with snow it allows me to see how and where the deer and other animals are moving. For many, icluding myself it is ice fishing season as well.

I think you bring up great points Crash. I am a Life/Endowment Member of the NRA. And no, I do not agree with everything they do or how they go about it. But, they are foremost out there protecting our Gun Rights, which inherently protects our hunting rights as well. ( I know the government would say hunting is a privilege not a right, hence the reason we need organizations like the NRA, SCI, PBS, Compton’s and state organizations, etc). I am also a member of Compton’s and PBS, but I have no issues with the crossbow personally. However, many organizations like Compton’s and PBS have been outspoken against the crossbow. I belong to these organizations because I have a passion for and support Traditional Bowhunting. I try to think in a positive way, I belong because of what I am for and not at all because of what I am against.

I can’t make up my mind so I collect as many as I can. 😮

Hunting-wise.. I’ve always liked the Magnus 2 Blade (Vented) they tune and fly well for me. They are tough and I can get them sharp enough to shave with. They penetrate well, and are capable of leaving as good a bloodtrail as any blade.

Not to get off topic but I am really looking forward to seeing ABCC at Compton’s this year.

I have to agree with Dave. I’ve used Magnus II 2 Blades for years and never a problem with blood trails. I think it’s all about sharp blades and shot placement that count.

I would have to agree. The lack of Access and Loss of Habitat to development seem to be the biggest reasons. Many places here in the Northeast it was not uncommon to flush over a dozen Ruffed Grouse a day. Grouse thrived on second growth land from reverting farmlands abondoned in the 1920’s & 30’s. Now that land is either mis-managed and overgrown, posted or lost to development. I for one like many, also take advantage of the liberal deer seasons we have today. For me, yes I enjoy getting out for an annual pheasant hunt, but to me Whitetails are second to none, and if a season is open I’m hunting them. But the bottom line is here in the northeast, without habitat or access, small game hunters have little to shoot at and little opportunity.
