Really cool picture and craftsmanship you are doing there BountyHunter.
in reply to: Rain suits #23236I have found the mad dog rain gear works well with alnog with being fairly quiet.
in reply to: Help with instinctive shooting #51453I love Steve Sr’s last post and for me to help with the instinctive part of shooting I have trying to do more of this with a shotgun at the trap range where I focus on the lead spot on the clay and shoot. I think this has helped me with the more not thinking about distance but the spot on the target and following through.
in reply to: Congratulations Dave #38896Congrats Dave beautiful bull.
in reply to: Thoughts on camo, fabrics, etc. #32622I have used ASAT from when it first came out and like it a lot. I have also used the green predator and don’t like it as much except for turkeys when I want to setup outside of a blind. I have not tried the plaid but will think about that since some of the camo has shrunk in the wash.
in reply to: Help for a new longbow shooter #31586I think for aluminum that you can start with the Easton charts as a starting point since I think they are the only one still making aluminum. I would shoot the same blunt weight as broadhead weight that you intend to hunt with.
in reply to: Working out to get in shape. #31582I work out with a rubber band gym and i also hike a lot and ride mountain bike throughout the summer.
in reply to: poor groups #31522If its you have you checked your release or bow arm position are the 2 that I have problems with that cause me to have a bad group.
in reply to: World's worst deer-trailing dog #31518Now that was funny
in reply to: The anser to all our problems! #31516Sneak, its that what you do when the newest ladderstand/ feeder combo battery quits working and you have to get over there to change the battery out:D I think sometimes we as a society get so wrapped up in the marketing instead of seeking out a mentor to get better and also to learn from. Along with then learning from our own mistakes or those of others.
in reply to: The anser to all our problems! #29248I think the reason some people so willing part with their money for these product is partially marketing and also their lack of knowledge given by a mentor and so they go it alone and struggle with having success so they look for something to make it easier on them.
in reply to: Motivation #29241I hunt for the fun and skill building it gives me. Along with a chance to be in nature and enjoy the solitude.
in reply to: Horn Hunter Slingshot Pack/Quiver? #23864Thanks for the response Bruce. I am thinking I might need to divest of some other packs and trim down to this one. Good luck on the wapiti for yourself I am done for the month and just waiting for my first baby to arrive on the 24th
in reply to: Horn Hunter Slingshot Pack/Quiver? #22934Bruce;
do you have a trip report yet of hunting for elk with this pack I am more tempted to think about after I bought a safari tuff duiker quiver and while I liked using it with the camel backpack I did not get blown awayin reply to: A SLOW DETERIORATION #62456It might be over-thinking or. How do you focus on the target I always try to remember aim small to miss small. Since I have a tendency to not always pick the smallest spot to focus on.
