Yup. My wife said quit with the wannabe homo sapiens thing and get real. Yes, I’ve struggled for years on coming out, but, it’s true, I am a Neanderthal man:lol:
Upscale cave with closets uh? Cool.
in reply to: FEATHER LENGTH #60446My thinkin is like above only I’m also thinkin that when you’re beginning you need to shoot arrows with enough feathers on them that through the eons have been proven to be stable, such as 5″ or perhaps larger. That way when you have bobbles you can be concentrating on form and bow tuning to correct them and not be worrying so much about the arrow.
After all that is perfected (best of luck on that:D) then is when one can start “playing”:D or trying to achieve the max. JMHO

in reply to: The Trad Knife Thread #59551No idea on the age of those scissors. I’ve been researching but mostly going around in circles. I just never thought of Case for anything but a great knife.
Apparently their scissors are of as good a quality as their knives from what I can find out.

I like a leather grip also. I have one longbow without so I went by Tandy’s today to look for scraps and the store was gone. Dang, I was just there a couple of weeks ago.
Guess I’ll go searching.
in reply to: brace height problems? #58591Mike, you seen my notes:?
I keep a little pocket tape measure handy. Then I don’t have to remember much except where I put it. 😀
in reply to: Spring fever #58556Glad you’re better Steve. Not quite the spring fever one looks to. I had a bout of that stuff a couple of years ago myself. Kinda hard on a guy.
Enjoy the spring, your bow and life!:D

That’s the way it is here in the Panhandle with the wind. We just go shoot. Messes with us when it ain’t blowing:D
in reply to: Signs of Spring? #54336Decline of Lake Meredith time lapse
in reply to: Signs of Spring? #54325We’re right on the edge of town so we have city water. But that source is the Ogallala Aquifer which is being depleted at scary rate by crop irrigation. Our water used to come, like 50/50 from Lake Meredith, but the lake is so low it’s not being pumped from anymore. So yeah, we’re concerned. A friend has spent beaucoup dollars on a new well. It’s worrisome for sure.
It’s hurting the wildlife for sure. It’s a good thing that the ranchers run windmills and have stock tanks around the country.
