in reply to: Carbon bare shaft tuning question #36375
With aluminum and carbon I didn’t cut the arrows to find the right spine. I just changed the point weight.

Go back and read again. You two are either drunk or have gone utterly insane. Maybe both.😆 Nice! Maybe all three!:lol::wink:

😯 It’s a bit spooky that it might actually pierce the soul. 😆
in reply to: Elk Season is only 36 days away! #28985Love the pics!
in reply to: Back vs. Bow Quivers #27993Love the pic Dr. Ashby!
Personally, I have both a back quiver and a couple bow quivers. For deer hunting, I prefer the bow quiver. I too liked the idea of carrying my bow without anything attached to it, but I just couldn’t get used to using the back quiver. I use the back quiver for everything but deer hunting.
in reply to: Interesting Waste of Time #26736George, I think your comment about unions, etc. is also an excellent fire starter. 😆
I don’t get the Cabela’s archery catalog because it doesn’t offer anything for me. I don’t like all of the technology in hunting, and never did…even when I was using a compound. But to deride Cabela’s for not having much, if any, traditional archery equipment, is akin to a compound shooter deriding 3Rivers for not having equipment for them. “traditional” bowhunting will never be mainstream, and Cabela’s is a mainstream retailer. Just my humble opinion.

in reply to: ain't no Picasso's or Rembrants #26179I don’t mind breaking wood arrows anymore either. Especially cedar and even more so…douglas fir…love the smell! 🙂
Speaking of wood arrows, I really need to get some more feathers so I can fletch up some more for the upcoming shoots. God knows I’ll need em! 😳
in reply to: Doc? David? Everyone? You seen these? #26174Good to “see” you here on the forum Dr. Ashby!
Thanks for the heads up on those heads Steve. I had not heard of them until now.
in reply to: Interesting Waste of Time #26170I LOVE, I repeat, LOVE these discussions! I think it is healthy and important that differences of opinion are heard and respected. And I love your signature quote Homer!
Guess I’m in a loving mood tonight. 😆

See how fast the answers are pouring in now? 😆
in reply to: APPRAISAL HELP?68 BEAR SUPER GRIZZLY(PER PATRICK) #15552I personally don’t know, but I do have a suggestion: I think you’d get more help if you’d be more specific with the thread title. Just as I did above for the reply. 😉
If you want to, you change yours by going to your original post and clicking edit. Then just change the title.
in reply to: Who names their bows? #61984J.Wesbrock wrote: I would suggest NOT naming a bow “Firewood.”

I like that.
I’ve not named one of mine.

the “philite” is EnglishAwesome! I figured it was something simple. Thanks Alex!
