Wow a bow and a pup–fortunate young man. While your at Greggs perhaps you can take some photo’s of his shop and stuff and post here.
Ignore Dave’s comments on hats–picture a 6 foot bean pole with a ridiculous straw panama perched atop:lol:
Mike
Yes, he’s very fortunate! I’ll see what I can do for photos, but can’t make any promises. I sold all of my camera gear and only have my phone now.
Dave who? 😆
in reply to: The Hammock Seat #48892in reply to: Feeling Weird #47009I feel exactly the same, except, give me the first two weeks of November. Well, October too. 🙂
And thanks to my truck’s fuel pump leaving me stranded, I missed tonight’s hunt…the last before firearm season. 🙁

in reply to: Bowhunting Alaska #46029Better late than never. If you join Professional Bowhunters Society, you have access to the lending library. They have four of his books, including the one mentioned above. Here’s the list:

No review photos! 😆

I can relate. I hated wearing wool hunting clothes as a kid. Now I prefer it.

I definitely will be doing a review. Gregg thinks he’ll have it done for me to pick up on the weekend following Thanksgiving. PLUS, he’s making a Helms Deep for Tyler (my son), and I was told I’ll be able to pick that up at the same time. My son thinks he still has a long wait ahead of him, and I’m not going to tell him otherwise. So, when we go to pick up the bow, he is going to absolutely freak out when he discovers we’re coming home with two bows. 😀

8) I love my hats and bows! I have some other sweet looking hats you guys haven’t even seen yet.

Thanks, Steve! I’m glad to be back. Post number 1000! 8)
in reply to: Would you shoot a bedded animal? #45547I have zero ethical problem with doing so. My problem would be, as others have stated, working out the angle of the shot.

She’s a beauty, Mike! Just chatted with Gregg this morning. The wait is almost over. 😀

You could call me a revivalist. I like to bring back old threads…well, relevant threads. I think the time and space in between posts can add a lot of dimension to them. This one just didn’t get enough attention for some reason. I’m hoping to see a bunch as well.

Sure do. Well…my son does. She is all his. I just pay for everything. 😆
in reply to: Get a grip! #44231This is my favorite grip. I definitely prefer leather grips too. The straight handle doesn’t lend itself to ‘creep’. Meaning, my hand doesn’t move, or even want to slide up. It just stays put. I like leather for its warmth and its subtle grip when wet. (With all that said, the Elkheart I should have shortly will be WAY different: Wood handle and grip shape/angle. We shall see. 😉 ) The “reversed handle” on my Northern Mist Whisper:
