in reply to: The Trad Knife Thread #63338in reply to: What wax do you use on your longbow #57825Ill see if i can find some
Thanks
in reply to: What wax do you use on your longbow #30810Id use boiled leen seed oil but i plan on hunting with it and didnt want to much sent
in reply to: Rudders long bow #18018I have about 75 arrows thru it
I did the grip in just a thin suede but i dont feel any real hand shock which for a soild hickory bow is very good
I got it set up quick played the nock alittle but she came into point of aim quick
Its 65″ and pulls smooth 50#/28″ i draw 27″ so its throwing 47# or around there
Fit and finish was excellent for a sub $100 bow i really have no complaints
If i do my part it seems to do its part very well
This was a project for small game hunting and i think it came out well
I also have been using Rudders poplar flu flu arrows and 125grn field point which im very happy with,my Bear Black Bear seems to shoot them well also even being a 40# and arrows spined at 45/50#
Over all for the money its a good piece of kit
My cousin shot it yesterday with me and went home and ordered one
That said he shoots 31″ draw and we saw noproblem with over draw down range
Ill order another one for sure, might be a stave and ill try my hand at alittle tilling
in reply to: Rudders long bow #9485in reply to: Two arrow bow quiver #9237What she doesnt know it wont hurt her
