Welcome and thank you for serveing our great country. The best thing I can tell you is to find someone that shoots a recurve and start shooting with them. You may find someone very close to where you live. If not you could attend a few 3-d shoots and I am sure you will meet a few trad guys. Best of luck in your search. Well after some phone calls and emails. The brace for this bow is 8 1/4 to 8 3/4. Thanks to Dennis at git-r- done archery. Great guy!

I’ve owned three Hunter 2s (great bows, by the way). They are compatible with all modern bowstring materials, and if memory serves, they came standard with Dyna 97 flemish strings.
That was fast thanks. Clears up something that I need to get done. Was thinking of going with SBD string. Any thoughts on that?
