It’s weighs 3 1/2 pounds , folds flat
John,
quite the contrary. They are not cumbersome at all. They are extremely light and comfortable. I mainly go for afternoon or day hunts.

in reply to: Bear hunt in the lower 48 #147868Definitely not interested in a canoe trip. Just a full service outfitter
in reply to: Bear hunt in the lower 48 #147817Nice picture! Any recommendations on outfitter that’ would cater to a traditional bow hunter
in reply to: Small game hunting, Ace Hex Head or The Hammer..? #147703I’m not sure. I got those from Ted Fry from Raptor Archery a long time ago.
in reply to: Small game hunting, Ace Hex Head or The Hammer..? #147685I’ve used these with great success! I also have the VPA SGT but have not taken anything with them as of yet.
in reply to: American Leathers #26859That’s all I use! They have to be the most durable glove out there. They are thicker in the fingers which doesn’t allow you to “feel” as much, but it is well worth it. You wont be sorry
in reply to: First Piggy #17840Great job
in reply to: 2012 Season Success Photos #17834The deer was taken with a 61# BW PLX, 785 Gr CX 350, 190 Grizzly, and the Turkey with a 58# Schafer Silvertip.

If you are comparing speed vs. ethics than you are basically labeling compound shooters (as a whole) unethical. That simply isn’t the case. Hunting ethics are hunting ethics no matter what gear you use.
It seems like the debate is whether the bow would still be considered traditional or not – and we all know how objectively that term is defined.
Personally…as long as you are shooting with your fingers, using some kind of instinctive aiming system, and your bow is not mechanically aided – it is traditional. I am not a fan of risers made of anything but wood and glass, but I do not condemn their use.
well said
in reply to: black widow bows #21904I have 2 PLX’s and a PCH on order. Are they worth it? To me..YES. To others they may not be. I paid $1300.00 a piece for my 2 PlX’s, and $1200.00 for my PCH. The price doesnt mean anything. As long as you like it and you are happy thats all that matters.
in reply to: Taking Down Takedowns #60122Had mine for a couple of years now and only took them dowm a couple of times now.
in reply to: Small Game #37170Duncan …
Ted Fry at Raptor Archery made these for me. They do a good job, but no matter what I hitem with they still have enough life in them! They are tough little buggers! I make pot pies out of my squirrels! If you want the recipe please shoot me an e-mail and I will make sure you have it..
