in reply to: Rick Welch #59892I certainly will let you all know how it went. We are planning on being home mid month, so it may not happen til then. There was a very good article about Rick a year ago in our “Excellent” magazine. That was where I first heard about it.
Happy New Year everyone:!: Bruce

in reply to: My toes are frozen……. #39694Wool socks and every thing dried really well after each outing helps tremendously. If liners can be taken out of boots, take them out as well for this drying process. Right now, boots with a heavy removable felt liner would be the norm here, for any outside activity.

in reply to: Another miss. Input welcomed. #21990I’m glad you started this thread as it generated a lot of remedies for an age old problem. That being “missing” I’ve hunted for 45 years and still have a problem with rushing the shot. I get this feeling that the animal is going to magically disappear or move and I rush the shot. I have developed some little controls that help.
There is nothing wrong with having a few jins:wink: and you did not come across as a braggart.

in reply to: Whats your all time favorite TBM piece? #14206Really don’t have a favorite because I’ve liked them all !! Some have made a tremendous difference in my shooting which is a constant “work in progress”.”One click at a time” by Jason Wesbrock and one more recent, about three fingers under, are two that have impacted me a lot. Just renewed my subscription for another two years so that pretty much says it all.

in reply to: Primitive Rifle Kill, Okay to Post??? #44025Nice Deer !!!
in reply to: Silencer Mystery…? #25093I have used the 1/4″ strips cut from an inner tube now for a month or so and they work great. I ended up tying them with a bit of dacron to keep them from loosening. I don’t think the regular type of rubber bands would work as they could not be pulled tight enough without breaking. Anyway great idea from someone !
