in reply to: Target Panic #51371I’ve just read the whole thread.Hiram said to not aim until the draw is complete with back tension. Patrick picks a number. Wondering if the aiming happens before or as you are counting?
I’m assuming that a lot of archers are holding at full draw to aim before they release when shooting. I’m AFFLICTED and haven’t shot much lately. Want to have some plan in place before I start.
Bruce.in reply to: Super Duper Extreme FoC (SDEFoC) #49330Pretty Good Patrick:!: Had me scratching the side of my gray old head until I read TBMadmins post:)
in reply to: change or stay? #48376Doesn’t really matter what he does! If he’s’ like all the rest of us he’ll listen to all the info, do some screening, and do it his own way anyway 😆
Brucein reply to: Wood Arrow Build Along "Finished" #47289I have new wood finished shafts from Whispering Winds Arrow. I’m in the process of fletching. I’m using 4″ feathers. When the feather is in the clamp and I set it on the shaft it does not not make full contact in all spots along the shaft. The tip end is making good flat contact. The nock end is contacting only one edge of the feather. The glue seems to be holding well. Is this normal or should I be adjusting something:?: Any comments. Please .

Hi everyone I’m Bruce. I’m happily married for 37 years to Pat and have three wonderful children and three just as wonderful grandchildren. Madeleine is pictured with me.
I’ve been bowhunting since I was 20, on and off with traditional but getting back into it.
I also like bird hunting, hobby trapping and fishing, bowhunting takes the priority. I’m relatively new to the forums and find them to be a wealth of information and fun. Enjoying all the good people and someday hope to meet some of you personally !
Bruce. We’re sitting on what was left of my archery backstop. Guess who ate and wrecked the three alfalfa bales:roll: The eggs laying on the bales are from a woodduck box hung in the oak tree that we had just cleaned out. There were 13 unhatched eggs! There was one brood of little ducks hatched, prior to the box full of unhatched eggs ❗
in reply to: Teaching the Principals of FoC (to my son) #40828Your demonstration in not just for young archers. I’ve tended to be a little unsure about this whole thing and am not really a “read report”:? type of person. It really did give me a whole new perspective to consider. After reading two opening paragraphs on any study or report my mind starts to wander. Good Job!
Brucein reply to: Most Trouble Free Wood Shaft #38978I just received a dozen wood arrow from Whispering Winds Arrows. They are awesome. I ordered the Gyrafalcons which are the signature series. they are a pine hexshaft footed with a dense hardwood. the amazing thing about these arrows was the straightness! I’m kind of the fussy type and anything I made for myself,I was never happy with. I laid out two aluminum arrows and let my new Whisp.Wind Arrows roll down and they were perfect. Lots of little pluses with the hexshaft besides being built in Canada EH!!!
Bruce. Finish was the BEST. Nice crest!in reply to: Micky's Fall Freezer Hunt(video) #32195I like all your videos Chris and this one is no different!
What type of plant or grass are the does feeding on:?:
Brucein reply to: Caribou Hunts #27312I live in Manitoba and have hunted caribou once in our province. It was an experience of a lifetime.
I took bow and rifle and used my rifle.
The landscape where we hunted really does lend itself to bowhunting. Lot of stunted spruce and willow to help with concealment.
I know the camp manager for Gangler’s Lodge and according to him if you pick the right week when migration is in full swing then its like winning the lottery!:)
Google Ganglers Canadian Sub-arctic hunting for more info and pictures of the landscape. There are other Manitoba outfitters as well. Manitoba regulations allow 2 caribou. If you need more info, glad to help. Brucein reply to: Big Thick Soft Warm Wool Sweater #17252Was looking on E-Bay, some there. One there that Canadian team wore at closing ceremonies of Olympics X-lge $200
Bruce.in reply to: Hi Everyone #13482Hi Mike. You’ll like it:) Kindda like having a new TBM everyday. Well maybe exaggerated a little. Lots of good people with good knowledge!!!!
Bruce.in reply to: Why carbon arrows??? #13449I’m not an expert Manu but I don’t think you have to change! If the aluminum arrows are working for you, in terms of shooting properly, then that’s all you need. I sometimes think that aluminum arrows are a little under-rated.
