I ran into a guy recently that was 73 that could still do twice as many pull ups as me.
Bunyan?
No. Bunyan cant even do ten!!
At bear camp, it’ll be on youngster. We’ll settle the details then. A case of my favorite beer is at stake.:D I promise to share some of the winnings with you.
Joe, I did a trial run at Crossfit. It is intense.
But, they think too highly of the monthly dues for me. It seems a gym with such minimal visible overhead should not be so expensive.
in reply to: Most Embarassing Shot Anyone? #51588My most embarrassing shot occurred during my first bear hunt. It was the third shot at a young bear twenty feet up a tree….the arrow stuck in the limb, the bear sniffed it and looked down at my empty quiver and appeared to smirk, “You got another?” Etter will never let me live this one down. 😀
in reply to: North GA Bear 2014 #51567Looking forward to getting up there myself in a few weeks. Thanks for sharing the photos, Sean. Can’t wait until our September hunt!
in reply to: Widow test drive #54194I love my Black Widow. She will last though out my life time and into someone else’s. You’ll not regret it!

in reply to: Nice turkey hunting find #14397Wow! when you sent the picture to my phone, I was admiring the snake skins and feathers on the bow. I didn’t even see the spear point. I need to pay better attention!:D
in reply to: What to do with turkey legs :) #8492That photo of the kids says it all! 😀
Last season I put the legs and thighs in a crock pot and cooked until tender. Next, I ground the meat and made a chili. I ground the meat a little too fine. It turned out pretty good.
This year I will chop the meat so the chili will have a “meatier” texture. I make turkey salad with the meat as well. T
in reply to: What's in his mouth?……. a banana!!!!!!!! #49573What a great memory. You had me hooked at the beginning all the way to the end of the story. Congratulations.
in reply to: String Serving Too Thick? #29614I did the same when I applied dental floss. I applied it a little too thick. After a few practice sessions, it wore down so that it wasn’t so tight.
in reply to: Reply To: Enjoy your writing, rants and humor #63522I enjoy your writing and enjoy the magazine. I fully understand that there are times when it is best to step aside. Selfishly, I don’t think it is best for the TBM readers. Your writing will be missed in TBM.
But, as you said, that just leaves more room in the books! I am looking forward to your next publication. Keep thinking too much and keep punching those keys. 🙂
in reply to: American Plains Indian style quiver #63514Beautiful leather work. Way to go on reusing something old and keeping part of it out of the landfill.
I ran across that quote myself a few weeks ago and found much laughter and truth in it. 😀
