in reply to: Dang Squirrels!!! #60909I have been watching the buggers as well in the area I hunt and there are some monster fox squirrels. The greys are abundant as well but they aren’t in season here yet…but I am going to try and take a few to make a stew with.
in reply to: 1 finger over vs. 3 fingers under #60898I once shot 3 under and then switched to split finger…I have become more accurate with split finger and find it easier to focus on the target because the arrow is less in my field of vision (I used the middle finger as the anchor for both). But I think to each his own. I am a student of Asbell’s method and used it when I was having trouble shooting (had no idea what the hell I was doing) and that is the reason I went from Apache to split finger. It was weird switching but worked for me. I would say use what works and if you get a new bow have them set the tiller for that shooting style.

in reply to: Help with instinctive shooting #48915Asbell’s books and DVD really helped me out with my shooting. I had no one to teach me and his information was a great teaching aid. And as Dave said, practice is the key.

I have one similar to that…but it is work related. I get into a gun fight with the bad guys but my weapon doesn’t work or the bullets have no effect. Talk about a bad day at the office! I think that is why I am always checking and cleaning my weapons to ensure they work and are loaded. Funny what dreams can cause you to do.Brennan
