Love it Bruce, thanks for sharing 😀

Hey Ralph, you should be ok for another three years or so then 😆
in reply to: Couple Newbie Questions #46111Search for first bow or new archer and you’ll find loads of advice on here. I can recommend the Sage as a starter bow, but that is what it is a good value starter bow. ILF is much versatile but you’ll need to stump up front and when you’re getting into that sort of money I’d go custom. Great recent thread here on that too!
in reply to: Historic bowhunter #44685Yeah Prowler, I suspect it’s a homage to the great old yew bows from this side of the pond. And practically all ancient deer hunting was done with hounds. The crest of the next town over (New Ross) depicts a stag being chased across the Barrow River:
in reply to: Highlight of my weekend #44672Just clicked on the link, very unusual design. Nice to get the opportunity to try it out.
in reply to: Winter Range #41407Oh man we’ve enough wind, there’s a northerly gale forecast for tonight 🙁 So it’ll be cold, windy and wet, maybe some sleet which really p’s me off cos you don’t even get the pleasure of a little snow 😥 Oh well, I’ve a roaring fire in the hearth and I’m reading TBM so life ain’t so bad 😀
in reply to: Winter Range #41358Rain drops keep falling on my head…
If only we could trade 😆
in reply to: Winter Range #41344Hey Ralph, why is your sky that colour? I thought the sky was grey??? And it’s only February 🙁
in reply to: The Trad Knife Thread #41338I like it Ralph, it looks like it could’ve come straight out of 19th century trappers cabin.
in reply to: Winter Range #41263Well we don’t get the snow, just rain, rain and, you guessed it more rain. Working on my one-shot 10 yarders – still some work to do. Love my Reinhart block though:
Out back is my roving grounds, there’s even a Norman Castle (13th Century) about 1/4 mile in the distance – imagine what archery went on around here back in the day???
My backyard perspective. This came out a bit blurred as it may not be snowing but there’s a force 5 NWer hitting me causing a bit of hand shake – I’ll blame that for my off shots too!!
in reply to: The Trad Knife Thread #41253Bruce that last one is sweet 😯
in reply to: New Low in archery Hi Tech ! #38802WTF?!? I have no words… 🙁
in reply to: My first glimpse of falconry #38788Great pics of a beautiful bird 8) I was only saying to the other half that we must go to the raptor club in the next county this summer. After seeing this it makes me want to go even more!
in reply to: Any Thoughts… #37557Without looking at the details, anything that brings archery to the young has to be a good thing surely?! Although, I’d prefer to see kids learning LB/recurve first so they can learn true archery form rather than those wheeled arrow launchers, but I’d be biased 🙄
in reply to: Bare shaft tuning #37552Always with a point Mojo as, apart from the dangers of smashing arrows without a point, you need to tune with the relevant weight up front. There are loads of threads on here about bare shaft tuning, just use the search function.
