in reply to: Tradtional feather shape! #32985Here some new ones I just did: 70/75 POC redbarred/Autumn Brn shafts are dyed with Rit Yellow & Red and minwax dark mohagany they fly like darts out of my 50lb Bama Royal
in reply to: Tradtional feather shape! #29619I love the shape and they stabilize real well on my wood arrows! My son has banana cutter and I did some of those up too they look and fly real nice!
in reply to: Hexshafting ? Anyone heard of this? #29617A guy in my winter league had some arrows made of Hex Pine they looked to be quite durable and for him they shot well, I would like to try some myself they had good durability to them as he hit the wood around our targets a few times and he never broke one! I believe the company is out of Canada, and there is a vendor that has them in the states!
in reply to: Difference in wood arrows #28786Poc is still my favorite, but I really like Douglas Fir, I have also fletched Chondoo Pine and Ramin shafts!
in reply to: Some evening stump shootin w NEW Archer! #25704Hereis a couple more!
I get bored w static targets too, get some judo pointed arrows or Flu Flu arrows and go stump shooting! Then everything in the woods or yard can become a target! Plastic milk jugs, tennis balls almost anything! In the woods it could be a mound of dirt, stump, clump of leaves etc! Whats nice is that all the shots are spontaneous and no 2 are ever the same!
in reply to: A Day in the Woods… #24342The head wrap is Shumagh that my son brought back from Jordan, it is very functional and I learning all the differant ways to tie it!
in reply to: Tradtional feather shape! #11740Ya I agree I prolly won’t use them for hunting just for 3Ds and the like!
in reply to: Tradtional feather shape! #61728The make is a Little Chopper and the cut is called Traditional, it is alot lot like the Medival type arrows they get a lot of Heilical to them and they slantback real sharp, you have to locate them allittle farther down the shaft because of the drastic angle at the back! I shot them today in high wind at 3D targets they stabilize real well and shot great!
in reply to: My New Longbow #37520VERY nice!
