I bought an Evening Stand Green Vest at the Kzoo show its the 28oz wool which I really like, been wearing it every day it seems like great hunting plaid! She had a few zippered jackets there but they sold out real fast, I tried one on but it was not a pattern I wanted Teresa says they will be available going forward! I much prefer the zip model to the pullover!

I turned 55 last October, have been going to the gym most of my life, I have 2 D style Bama Longbows that are 50@28,one R/D Bama Expedition 46@28 and a Selfbow around 43@28 I could shoot much higher poundage with no problem, but I shoot alot and like my 46 R/D, its the best of both worlds, just seems like its more work to shoot those heavy poundage bows!

I have 2 50lb@28 Bama longbows 66in straightlimbed models, my latest one my Bama Expedition is a 62in 46@28 Reflex/Deflex, shoots all my wood arrows spines real well and it really zips an arrow! Very comfortable weight to shoot mid 40s best of both worlds I think as far a bow weights go!

in reply to: Trad VS. Compound #32023

Man do I agree on the combined shoots, where I live we have a 3D circuit thats runs from spring thru summer at differant courses! There are anywhere between 6 or 8 trad shooters and maybe 25 compound shooters! I have been paired with compounders on a couple of occasions! I could shoot these courses twice before they get thru once LOL! They take so much time between shots, and are SO worried about their 10Xs that they don’t have any fun! they usually kind of laugh at us, but when they try to shoot my longbow they can’t hit squat with it! It usually humbles them real fast! I have converted my nephew over to Trad from compounds he sold all his wheel equipment and now owns a Black Widow!!

Check out Bamabows, I own 4 of Nates longbows, 2 D-Style 50lbs 66inchers, a 60in Reflex/Deflex Expedition Hunter 40lb, my latest is a 62in Reflex/Deflex Expedition Royal takedown, his long bows are smooth, fast and quiet! he is very reasonably priced for what he builds and his turn around time is very fast for a custom built longbow! these are the D-styles

Nate is a great guy, I usually just give him an idea and let him run with it, he hasn’t disapointed me yet! I love his D-style 66inchers, but my 62in Royal Expi is my fave at he moment! Good luck Nate will not disapoint!

Nate thought it would be a good idea for me to start off with the longer “D” shape for the more forgiving nature of it. I gave Nate complete creative control on this! Can’t wait to see what he comes up with:)

You will love that Hunter, very lite in the hand, very smooth! Nate will not disapoint, I did that on my Expi Royal only thing I ask for was that the bow was mainly Osage on the riser and the veneers, he created a work of art!
