Dave,
That is an excellent trailer. I’m sure the final product will be fantastic too, can’t wait to see it. Also, looking forward to getting a copy of your new book. Hopefully, will see you at the BHA rendevous.

in reply to: Patience furthers #31973Congratulations Dave and excellent shot. She will be some fine eating.
Your a master at extending your elk season using the licensing system. I always seem to be one step behind on getting extra tags.

in reply to: "The Good Hunt" links #61077Dave,
This is something that is a long time in the coming. It is something I can’t wait to see and would be glad to support. For you to sacrifice hunting alone this season says a lot, thanks. Have a good hunt tomorrow,

in reply to: INSTRUCTIONAL DVD??? #24755I rently saw a video of John Shultz explaining the Howard Hill method of shooting. I’ve been shooting traditional for 25 years and am always trying and thinking on how to improve. After watching the video I went out and messed with it and it seems my groups have been much tighter. Here’s the link to the video if your interested.

in reply to: Primitive Spot'n'stalk #10206Thanks for posting, well done. Hopefully you can make a few more. I gave up on all the hunting shows years ago because most were garbage, but your video was a treat.
in reply to: How were your Coues' deer hunts,Mr. Petersen? #56718Dave,
Congratulations on another coues, definitely a trophy in my eyes.
As I know you realize you are super lucky in that your injuries were not way worse. In 2007 in Nebraska while clearing some shooting lanes for a treestand I stepped on a rotten branch and took a hard 15′ fall. I ended up fracturing my left femur. Now when tree hunting I use a tree saddle that is pretty much impossible to fall out of.
in reply to: Who's Hunting the Late Season? #17775I’m headed to AZ again in January to chase coues and maybe some quail. I used to hunt there every year but haven’t in about the last 5 years. I am really looking forward to it.
in reply to: lucky weekend #39712Congratulations, and thanks for sharing. Those are fantastic bucks and I know there’s always a little luck involved. But for guys like you that are consistently taking mature bucks there’s also a heck of a lot of work involved. Also, thanks for the great article in the latest TBM.
in reply to: More wildlife pics #33405Those are cool pics Dave. I’ve been thinking about picking up a game camera lately but just haven’t committed yet. Here’s a few pics of some of the critters I’ve come across lately in my scouting forays.

Thanks for the great pics. The season will be upon us before we know it, I can’t wait. We are very blessed to have that kind of country so close to us. Have a great September,
Rickin reply to: Most Admired Predators #62731Birds of prey are on the top of my list. Where I work I regularly get to see peregrine falcons and ospreys at work. To see a peregrine explode a duck at 90 mph is pretty awe inspiring. The first time I saw an osprey hover, spot a fish, and dive from way high to catch a trout I started clapping. I think the guys with me thought I was a little wierd.
Rickin reply to: Big Thick Soft Warm Wool Sweater #15694I’ve found some great ones at the local thrift stores.
