I have found that wood handle bows tend to slip and twist in my hand at times. I solved this problem by using Self-Adherent Stretch Athletic Tape on the handle. This is the same stuff my veterinarian uses to secure bandages on my dog’s leg.
Stretch Athletic Tape sticks to itself and stays stuck, yet it leaves no sticky residue when removed. It is sold online in a variety of sizes, or you might find it in the first aid section of many stores. The tape stretches nicely and it’s easy to wrap a few rounds of it onto your bow. It tears easily from the roll, so you don’t need a knife to cut it; and it’s available in a variety of colors so you can match the tape to your bow or feathers, if so inclined.
I have found that same tape at Sportsman’s in Camo. Works great.
This same material is available in camouflage at many outdoor sporting goods suppliers.
Yes, it works great. I have been using it for several years. it also provides a nice cushiony feel to the grip.
Great idea! I recently removed the glued on leather from my Bear Montana and was thinking of what to replace it with. I’ll try the athletic tape since we have some in the 1st aid cabinet. Thanks for the suggestion!

I buy the same tape at the store that sells supplies for horses. The roll is about half what the tape costs at CVS or Walgreens. It is also longer.
While I have used the tape you refer to, I personally like the leather tennis handle wrap. They look good and are made not to slip
