Galenin reply to: Ultra-EFOC Barely Above The Heavy Bone Threshold #54562Ed it’s great to hear from you. Glad your doing well and prayers continue for healing and good reports.
in reply to: My ugly bow #34314Yes Duncan it is a take down. I use a T-nut in the limb and run the bolt from the belly side of the riser to hold the limb in place. I’ve never liked the looks of the limb bolt showing. This way the bolt is trapped in the riser so it doesn’t get lost too.

Galenin reply to: Lam sander project #19311Steve most of it is mdf except the thicker part that the bearings are bolted to which is 2 layers of 1/2″ plywood. The drum is 5″ circles made of 3/4 mdf using a hole saw and glued together. I have a friend who gave me a 24″ drum from a sander he replaced that I will use to build a bigger sander with. I got the plans online from PlansNow.
Here’s a picture from their site.in reply to: Selfmade bow quivers? #50198Holten101 I haven’t had a chance to build one myself so I can’t answer that for sure but I think it would be much better than just the velcro. I’m planing on putting some rubber on the inside of the leather myself. BTW my email is forlogons at gmail dot com if you want the plans
