in reply to: Glove vs. tab #30957

I like shooting with a glove because never drop or lose while out roving the hills .But found finding a glove that fits good is hard for me . So i shoot with a tab and keep a extra in the pack .

Up here in the Pacific Northwest usually start shed hunting in late febuary to march depending on snow levels .Last year found a nice 6 point elk shed that I am going to use as handle matirial on some knives I am making.

a few years back shot a deer hit a little far back so gave a little extra time before tracking it .By the time I found it a big tom had already claimed it for his .Thought about shooting it in the end just left him to his lunch .Funny how something like that can be come one of your better hunting memiories.

in reply to: About to give up. #31063

being a fellow compound to trad shooter i went through a lot of frustration and was ready to give up for the same reason but a freind had me try something all i can say is it worked for me first pick a spot what i did was go to your local store and buy a bag of water ballons blow them up tp about five inches pin on your target then i started at five yards and shot for a whole week week after move back a couple yards and have fun it took a while but i now have confidence that i can make it in the zone out to around 20 yards but the big thing if you start getting frusstarted step a way for a few mins

being that I live in the wet pacific northwest try going to your local fishing takle retailer and get the spray for dry flies it works good easy to apply and being it is a small bottle fits easy in a pocket
