      Got a stingray that just started to crack on the back of the riser beneath the shelf. 6o#, have been shooting the heck out of it in 3-d’s, light, fast and smooth. Good bow for the money except for the crack in the riser.

          Nice job bountyhunter; makes me think back to the day when my Dad came home with a box of bear arrows, kind of a light mud color with red/gold cresting and red and yellow feathers with the old green bear razorheads. Still have a few of those around.
          thanks for the memory jog

If you have any experience hunting these elusive animals with Trad Bow, share some tips on Equipment used. Bow Poundage, arrow weight and BH’s. Next year I plan to hunt these Bulls on the refuge. Need some advice.

            I have not personally taken one, but I have butchered a couple. The are big heavy bodied animals, very tough hunt;
            however, they are just about the best eating venison meat you’ll find anywhere, and plenty of if. Tastes like venison, a bit richer, just plain delicious. if you score, it’ll turn you into a nilgai junkie.

              in reply to: tab vs glove #23709

              try this:
              cut the 1 and 3 fingers off an old glove even with the hand piece, then cut off the middle finger right up to the finger cover. sew the middle finger strap through the finger hole in your tab and you can wear it like a glove w/o losing it.
              TRY IT, YOU’LL LIKE IT

                  in reply to: Pulling Tusks? #8522

                  I cut the lower jaw bone in half and threw the part with the tusks into a pot of boiling water for several hours- the tusks pulled right out and the nerves inside the tusk slid right out on a piece of wire. make sure you try to get as much tissue off the bone as possible before you cook it down.
                  (don’t smell real good but it does work)
