in reply to: IPad and Traditional Bowhunter #12078
Hi Hank,
I am sorry to say that the digital issue of Traditional Bowhunter Magazine will NOT work on an iPad, iPhone or Blackberry at this time. The magazine requires a program called FlashPlayer and the devices do not support that software. I am looking into an upgrade but it has not been released yet and I don’t know what the price will be. 😯 As soon as I have more information I will let you know. The technology changes so fast I want to make sure we are moving in the RIGHT direction.
1.) How many of you would get Premium Memberships if you could read the magazine on one of these devices?
2.) What other magazines DO work on these devices. Maybe I can see what software they are using.
in reply to: DO I NEED LESSONS? #10005Sorry, Dave. It’s the editor in me! 😆
“Google KME Sharpeners” not KMI
in reply to: ARCHERY IS FOR GIRLS!!!! #60449Very nice arrows! Archery must be for girls, otherwise why would they make feathers in that color? 😀 I’m sure she’s going to love them.
in reply to: Who's going to Compton? #57102I am really looking forward to this year’s rendezvous. Fletcher, at least we were on the “covered” side of the tent last year. I sure hope the weather is better this year. The only good thing about last year’s storm was the way EVERYONE pitched in to help.
I would really like to meet any/all of you that will be at the shoot this year. Please come by the TBM booth and chat. I may look busy, but I’m never too busy 😆 to stop and say hello. In fact, most of the time I’m just chatting with other members/subscribers. That is the best part of my job! 😉 Hope to see you there!
in reply to: Please introduce yourselves, I'll start #56063But since I’m only 19(as of today) 🙂
Well, Happy Belated Birthday to you! Sorry we missed it but I hope you had a great day. We miss seeing you around here but your education is more important. Good luck on the new business too.
in reply to: Trad shops in MN? #54246The Gopher wrote: Hello there I am a trad/primitive (more primitive) guy, i live in Maple Grove. I build my own bows, arrows, quivers, etc, etc.
As far as shops go, there really isn’t anything in the metro just for trad, the closest is The Footed Shaft in Rochester.
I actually have a small business, i don’t sell bows, i’m just getting started and mostly sell accessories i make. I don’t think i would be allowed to post my business name or website, send me a message if you want to know more.
Gopher, thanks for respecting the forum and the paid advertisers on the site. Since he is asking for specific shops you can state the business name. What you can also do is put your website address in your Profile (right under the words “Traditional Bowhunter Magazine Forums”). That is an option for everyone. All businesses related to trad archery deserve a little plug!
I also would like to suggest G&M Archery. They advertise in the magazine and they are in Benedict, MN. I have no idea how far that is from you 😆 or if they have a store or just do business by phone/web.
in reply to: HOW SHARP IS SHARP ENOUGH? #53799Dang. I didn’t know the photos were gone. They really added a lot to the explanation. 😥

What is that old saying about an expert? A has-been who’s now a drip… 😆 Seriously, we do appreciate your help and input. Heck you’ve been a member here longer than me! 😯
in reply to: muddy creek trad weekend/winchester,in. #49312I was thinking this is the shoot that Voodoo is active in. I’ll see if I can get him to chime in. There is also information on the calendar.
In my opinion, all shoots are a great place to meet other trad archers, get kids excited about shooting bows and just have a great time outdoors. Hope the weather holds out for ya. And post some pics in the Family/Shoot gallery. 😀
in reply to: WHATS THE RUSH? #49303Here is T.J.’s take on it. This “Tip of the Week” from a while back was taken from his book, The Traditional Bowhunter’s Handbook. Shooting Up and Down

Sorry, been in and out this week. 😆 We can ask but I don’t think they (software developers) would combine the two. But who knows…stranger things have happened.

Not everyone chooses to fill out their TradSpace profile. 8) An easy way to tell if a member has a profile is that you can see the link under their name. Try it on mine. Under my picture, where it say TBMADMIN and is underlined, that goes right to my TradSpace profile. Unfortunately, from there it is a hassle to ask me to be your friend, but I will if you ask. 😀 I’m hoping they will make that easier.
Keep ’em coming. I can’t guarantee the changes will be made, but maybe we aren’t the only ones asking and the next update could make things easier.

Great ideas, Turtle. I will add them to the list. Part of the problem is the forums and TradSpace are two separate things. I think a PM in TradSpace would be useful.
You should be able to see who is online when you are in the Forums. At the bottom of the page it lists the users that are signed on.
in reply to: Happy Birthday, David Petersen! #46041Happy Birthday to my forum partner in crime. 8) Hope you have an awesome day. In fact, take the day off. 😀
in reply to: TRADSPACE???? #44905I wish the system worked a little better on several points. I like that you can link to profiles from the forums, but I don’t like the process of “friend”ing someone. 😥 I’ll put in a few “wish list” items to the programmers. What would you guys like to see different on TradSpace?
Mine are:
Emails when a friend updates their blog…
Being able to “invite as friend” from a profile… -
