Thanks for the information.
Arne
Sorry if I wasn’t clear. There are two Profile areas. Tradspace is what you were thinking of and the Forum Profile is what I was referring to. This might help…

And on the next page enter your web address…
in reply to: Just saying hello #51416Hi Arne. I will also add my welcome to the site. I’m sure you can add a lot to the conversations here on Tradbow.com. ๐
All members with YouTube videos, blogs, other websites, etc., are welcome to put a link in your Forum Profile so that it shows on all of your posts. If you need help finding that just let me know. We have a lot of talented members here.
in reply to: info for bow and arrow making #33588The Traditional Bowhunter’s Handbook has instructions for building wood arrows (and bowstrings) but nothing about building bows. I have to tell you though, I’m kinda partial to the guy who wrote it. ๐
Some of the other folks here might help with bow building books, but I’ve heard the Bowyer’s Bible series is good. Kustom King and 3Rivers Archery both have a large selection of books and videos on that topic as well. Hope that helps.
in reply to: Early season doe #28118Congratulations, tailfeather! That is great. ๐
in reply to: Today discouraged at first, encouraged later #25949I would be happy to offer that to our members, but I couldn’t begin to pick and choose the information. If you and/or Troy can put it all together, I’ll do the easy part and find a home for it on the site. ๐
As for an article in the magazine, that would be Don Thomas’ call. I know you are aware of the process, but here is a link to the Submission Guidelines with Don’s contact information.
in reply to: PM problems #22556I just tested it and I didn’t get an error message. It could be that the software vendor was working on our site at that time but I can’t tell from your posts if it has been an ongoing problem or just a hiccup. If you get the error message again, please copy and email it to me at webmaster@tradbow.com
in reply to: old black widow limbs #22553No worries Mike, that’s my job. I’m just sorry I didn’t check the forum sooner. The article by Jason Wesbrock is in the Download Library. Here is the link: Fixing Twisted Recurve Limbs
in reply to: Dave Doran #22546Sending prayers and good wishes to Dave and Nancy. They are some of my favorite people. I hope the transplant is successful and Dave is back on his feet in no time.
in reply to: My first Deer is down! #14854Hooray! Hard work and perseverance pays off! Congratulations.
in reply to: sold out issues #10321Hi John,
Welcome to the forum!
The sold out issues of Traditional Bowhunter will not be reprinted. We tried it once and it just wasn’t cost-effective. What we have done is converted them to digital files. For $20/year (Premium Membership) you can read them online or download them to your computer. You also get six current issues during that year and you get to read the magazine before the print copy arrives. You also get 10% off everything we sell in the Shopping Area.
If you want to try a digital copy to see if you like it, the Oct/Nov 2010 issue is open to everyone. You can click here to try it.
Reminder: When switching from a Free Membership to a Premium Membership you must use the same email address, user name and password. Also, check the Yes box where it asks if this is a renewal.
in reply to: Keep Your Cooler, Cooler! #9173Well, Bowshooter.com never wrote back, but I do remember telling the guy he could share the tips with his readers. At least he put my name as the author, but I asked them to reference Tradbow.com. Maybe I’ll have to sign up for their “tips” ๐
And, to be fair, I did not make this up on my own. I found the idea on the internet.
To get our weekly newsletters with tips like this one, use the sign up form that is on the home page. And if you have a great idea to share with others I’d love to hear it. We’ve covered a lot of topics and they are all available on the site in the Tip of the Week Department.
in reply to: Keep Your Cooler, Cooler! #59482Hmmm…the companies are not related but it wouldn’t surprise me if it is run by someone we know. I will look into it. I don’t mind the shared information but I would like them to give us credit for it.
I’m away from the office and have limited Internet but I will check it out on Monday. Thanks Konrad, and it is good to see you back.
in reply to: 7th Annual Eastern Ohio Rendezvous #55964๐ฅ That’s no good at all, but I’m glad you had fun. Do you get to buy a new bow now? Do you have something to use for hunting season?
in reply to: Posting Pictures in the Forums #51098fbahouth wrote: …I can see pictures in this thread but in a couple of spots I see something that tells me that the image or video has been moved or deleted.
That is a valid message when someone has deleted their photo from their PB account, but didn’t delete the link here on our site. Just ignore those, they have nothing to do with your computer.
Glad I kinda helped. ๐ I have just enough knowledge to be dangerous!
in reply to: Posting Pictures in the Forums #50349Smithhammer, no special reason for PB except that is the one I was familiar with. It seemed the simplest to use but any program should work, or click on the image icon above (left of the video camera icon) and enter any web address where the photo is stored.
On Safari I can see them okay. I checked under Preferences, Content and Load Image Automatically to make sure I don’t have any Exceptions. Other than that I don’t have any suggestions.
fbahouth, I have Windows XP and IE7 so we’re talking apples and oranges. I went to Tools, Internet Options, Advanced and then Multimedia to make sure “show pictures” was checked. If anyone else here has W7 & IE8 maybe they will chime in with exact wording for your set up. I think there is also a place where you can say Tradbow.com is a trusted site. I fixed it for my sister last year but I’ll be danged if I can remember now how I did it. ๐ Since W7 is more like Mac maybe there is something like the instructions above for Safari.
If either of you can give me an example of an image that does not show up for you, maybe I can pick at it from that angle. ๐
