in reply to: Pretty neat video I think applies here #20901
It is an excellent video made by PBS and Pope and Young Club. I’ll overlook the compounds because I agree the message is more traditional. 8)
in reply to: grouse and woodcock #19600T.J. will occasionally kill an elk while hunting grouse! π
in reply to: important science for hunters #59425The blisters on my delete finger are starting to heal. 8) Thanks for playing nice. Mike, I’m glad your computer is working again and you can join us.
Give me a few more weeks to train the new Subscription office staff and then I’ll be able to keep up with you two!
in reply to: PTSD and the 4th of July #49490Hahaha! π You guys keep doing what you do and I’ll let you know if it needs a filter.
Our guidelines are pretty simple. Stick to traditional archery and you’ll be okay. Avoid politics, religion, other forms of hunting (compound/crossbow/guns), arguments and selling items in your posts. It’s always those “gray areas” that get folks in trouble. π
in reply to: Eastern Trad Archery Rendezvous #49481Mike, I hope you enjoy your vacation. I did see that Monty Browning will be the guest speaker, but I didn’t see any other seminars. I sent a message through their Facebook page. I’ll let you know if/when I hear anything. There are two phone numbers on the Archery Festivals site. Did you try those? 814-435-6653 or 814-274-8059.
Larry and Belinda Fischer will be there again this year, representing Traditional Bowhunter Magazine. Stop in and say hello.

in reply to: PTSD and the 4th of July #48423π Thanks for the vote of confidence. Scary to think what could happen…
There are a few hours a day that I don’t work, so some things slip through. My job is much easier when the posters openly admit that their post should be deleted. π Brennan, I’m glad you enjoyed it. Lots of folks are wondering what they missed. 8)
I want to know why lively posts come up over a 4 day weekend. What is up with that?
in reply to: PTSD and the 4th of July #46722Comments were delete in this thread, not because I disagree with the posters, but because they became too political in nature. 8)
We support our troops 100% and thank the men and women who have fought hard for our freedom.
in reply to: And The Winner Is… #33664Oops! π― My bad! I was going from memory…not a good thing on a Monday morning. π For now we’ll be content with Going Trad.

in reply to: Natural feathers #27824We have a classified ad section for members to buy, sell or trade their own personal items. No business posts, please! The Classified ad is opened up to more people, since everyone can read/reply to those, and only members can read/comment in the forums. I would prefer that we use that area for this type of thing, but I’ll also let this post ride. π
in reply to: Purchasing Feathers #16915Hi, and welcome to the site. Hopefully our active Aussie members will be able to help.
I can’t speak about the feathers, but I can attest to ridiculous shipping costs. Our US Postal Service raised prices in January 2013 and it is a crying shame what we have to pay to ship to foreign countries. I’ve had many complaints and I know on our site it costs more to ship a book than the actual book costs! I feel bad about that, but there isn’t anything I can do. Sometimes package size has more to do with it than weight.
I suggest you call or email 3Rivers and ask them if an adjustment can be made to pay actual shipping costs based on weight rather than shipping based on price.
in reply to: Webmom's Day #42187Awww! You guys are so sweet! Thanks for the happy wishes. It’s my pleasure to be your webmother. Best. Job. Ever!
In real life I had my Mother’s Day last weekend at our son’s wedding in California. It was great to have my whole little family all in one place for a few days. As the mom of busy adults that doesn’t happen very often. π
Again, thanks for the kind thoughts.
in reply to: 5th Annual Dwight Archery Tournament #20829Thanks for the info, but where is Chain Lodge (city and state)? And just to clarify, the shoot is May 5th, but what are the other dates (Monday, April 8, 2013 – Monday, May 6, 2013)?
