It’s fine to post this and I’m glad to hear that they will continue the long Martin history.
in reply to: Material for arrow rest? #55527We ran a Tip of the Week a while back on How To Make a Toothbrush Rest if you are interested in making your own.
in reply to: And…we're back! #52912You’re welcome. I just know who to call. π And had you emailed me last night, my response time would have been a lot longer. Feel free to email me any time you have trouble with our site. Carry on!
in reply to: Tuffhead testing #49613I thought these folks were out of business. I emailed them to check and it was bounced back as a closed email address. π
in reply to: Best wishes for the TBM family #46329Larry’s update yesterday. Please keep him and Belinda in your thoughts as you roam the woods this week.
in reply to: Astro flight string material #41755It is okay to mention the name of the string maker so that others might find it helpful.
The rule against commercial posts means that you can’t promote your own products and services in the forum. I know…clear as mud. π
I would caution everyone to make sure your bow can handle no- or low-stretch strings. Not all bows are make to handle them.
in reply to: Tradgang closing free classifieds… #33913We do require that you are a “member” of this site to post a classified ad, but anyone on the internet can see and reply to the ad. π― That does open it up to all the wackos in the internet world of scams and dishonest people, but I’d hope that the person selling the item is an honest member just selling some of their used gear. Given the situation that you described, I would probably make the same call, but maybe we had that structure in place all along. We won’t ever charge you to use it though.
Here is a link to the Help page on our Classified Ad department. I would love to see this service grow and become a larger part of our overall site.
in reply to: Tradgang closing free classifieds… #32980Thanks for all the kind words. π You guys make my job very easy and I like that you feel comfortable here.
I have no idea what’s going on at TradGang, but our classifieds will always be free for members. We don’t allow business ads there, as that wouldn’t be fair to our paying advertisers. All of the features on this site are brought to you by these advertisers. THANK YOU!!! Rather than a donation, please turn to these advertisers first when you are looking for traditional gear. Premium Memberships also add a bit to support the website, so thank you to all of you Premium members.
I have to say that this site wouldn’t be what it is today without the help of David Petersen. Thanks, Dave! And thanks to all of you who help by bringing new topics, welcoming new members and keeping our conversations about traditional archery topics. You make my job so much easier. And I already had the best job in the world! π
in reply to: Best wishes for the TBM family #27399Thanks for all the positive thoughts and messages for Larry and Belinda. Larry sent out an update yesterday, which you can read here: Fighting From the Kitchen

I’m hoping that was a bear (?) π― and I hope your PT and recovery continue to go well. Sorry it’s taking longer than planned.
Congratulations to everyone who was successful so far this season. Success doesn’t necessarily mean you have an animal down. It sounds like you are all having a good time being out in the woods.

I must have cut out early cuz I didn’t see the risque ladies, just old guys in hunting clothes, fully dressed I might add. π
I can’t censor someone else’s site. π― Since the site is in France, they probably thought nothing of it. Very nice folks who run that forum, but if you see something you don’t like…don’t look.
Hi Don. Welcome to the site! This is a great group to ask questions and chat about everything related to traditional archery. And remember, it’s supposed to be fun.
If you have any questions about how the site works, just shoot me an email at webmaster@tradbow.com.
in reply to: Best wishes for the TBM family #11177Larry sent out an update today.
in reply to: Not gonna work #63727I am also happy to resize and post photos for you. Just email them to me at webmaster@tradbow.com. I also appreciate your willingness to help, Doc. π
in reply to: Best wishes for the TBM family #59629I will do that, Mike. It means a lot to both Larry and Belinda to have good wishes and messages of support during this ordeal. Larry does pop in here from time to time, too.
For those who don’t know, Larry Fischer (Co-owner and Advertisement Manager) was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. He’s a fighter, and you can read about his story by clicking this link to Larry Fischer vs. The Bastard. Please keep, Larry, Belinda and their family in your prayers and we’ll keep you posted on his progress. Chemo starts tomorrow, therefore, round one of this fight is upon us.
