in reply to: Latest Issue of TBM #38631
Welcome to the family dbartlett! And thanks for the kind words.
We also sell our back issues in print (back to 1989) and digital (2012-current) format. ๐ Sometimes that helps pass the time until the next issue arrives.
On the main page, under the Product heading, select the shopping cart that applies to you and go to the second page of items to find back issues listed by year. Premium Members, be sure to use the yellow button before selecting your cart in order to get the 10% discount.
For digital versions, don’t go into the shopping cart, just click “Single Digital Issues” in the Products area. As always, email me if you have questions.

I already have. ๐ Thanks for all the kind words. We have had some great writers and staff over the years who love this sport, and we feel very blessed to be able to bring it to you.
in reply to: Many thanks! #30273olddogrib wrote: Many thanks to TBM. My latest edition arrived with cover sheet only stamped contents missing…no mag, plastic, nada. They sent me a replacement…life is good!
You’re welcome! That happens from time to time, and we’ll replace magazines that are lost or damaged in the mail. I appreciate you giving us a chance to make it right.
in reply to: Update on Larry Fischer vs The Bastard #18172Sorry I’m late getting this out. Larry sent this out just before Christmas. The doctor in Houston is willing to take The Bastard out!
in reply to: Arrow makers #35127Also check out Kevin Forrester at http://www.forresterwoods.com and Archery Past at http://archery-past.net
in reply to: First deer and thanks to Tradbow folks #29930Congratulations, George! Nice to meet you. ๐
in reply to: The search for a better bow #25599The Traditional Bowhunters Expo in Kalamazoo, MI is January 24-26, 2014. I highly suggest you attend if you are anywhere close to that area. Lots of custom bowyers will let you shoot ’til your arms fall off!
I also have to add that my first bow was a Ben Pearson, about 35 pounds, and it is still one of my favorites. It shoots right where I’m looking, and it’s light enough I can shoot it all day long without losing accuracy. It’s the bow we hand to people who’ve never shot before, because it’s so forgiving. Great bows to get started with!

Robin–I see a trad bow article here:D

I’ll pass that along. Thanks, Mike.
in reply to: Best wishes for the TBM family #13330Friday’s surgery did not go as planned. ๐ฅ
Short version: They went in, couldn’t get it out, grabbed Larry’s gall bladder, and closed him up. The battle will continue.
Read Belinda’s update at Drawing New Battle Lines.
in reply to: Best wishes for the TBM family #9868Excellent news late last night! Four and Out!
Larry is scheduled for surgery this Friday, and The Bastard will be catfish bait! Keep those prayers and positive thoughts coming!
in reply to: Best wishes for the TBM family #9261The bracelets are being sold by Dave Golden of Golden Specialties. His email address is goldnspec@aol.com.
We also have the TBM goat logo with a purple ribbon on a short sleeved gray t-shirt for $18(US) (Click here to purchase) and a purple ribbon with an arrowhead pin (Click here to purchase).
Some of this stuff was a surprise for Larry, so we didn’t put a big announcement out there. Now he knows, but it’s still not too late to show your support. It really does mean the world to both Larry and Belinda.
in reply to: Best wishes for the TBM family #9117Thanks, Bruce! I have mine on too, along with every piece of purple clothing I have. We are just waiting to hear the results of today’s CT scan. I’ll let you guys know as soon as I hear anything.
We appreciate all the support!
in reply to: Thank You tradbow.com #60972I’m cool with recipes that use animals you killed with traditional equipment. So fish and fowl only if you killed it with a bow. Venison, jerky, methods of preservation…all okay with me! If I’ve deleted those in the past, I’m sorry ๐ณ I’ll try to be more consistent.
in reply to: Thank You tradbow.com #60799Wow! I’m honored to be the Webmom here, but the forum is great because of our members. Some come and stay for a long time and some just pass through. All are welcome. I couldn’t do my job without great members.
I can’t believe it has been five years (11/1) since we launched our “new” site. Since then, the amount of information gathered and the new friends we have made is astounding. Keep in mind this site is more than just three forums…we have Feature Articles that aren’t printed in the magazine, Tip of the Week archives, photo galleries, classified ads, the complete Ashby Library, as well as digital current and sold out issues for Premium Members.
Traditional Bowhunter is successful because we really hunt with this stuff. We love it as much as you do! We feel very lucky to do this for a living and we never take our readers or advertisers for granted. Thanks for the kind words!
Just for the record, like any good “Mom” I don’t keep track of “course corrections” and I only remember how much I enjoy the great parts of my job. The others things are done and quickly forgotten. ๐
Have a great weekend! I’ll be lurking in the background if you need me.
