You may want to try some of the trad only carbons(600’s) from 3 rivers. They are relativly inexpensive. I’ve had good results with them with my 48@27 HH longbow. I shoot a 28″ arrow with a 200 gr fp/bh. This gives me a 425gr arrow. More than adequate for whitetails.

I just recently put a pair on my ACS CX. I put then right on the end of the fadeouts. I have the heavy aluminum riser and it does not have much vibration to begin with. I placed them right at the end of the fade outs. I took my hush puppies off at the same time and it seemed to be about an even trade off. I have not run it through a chrono but I don’t think I have lost any speed(i’m not concerned about a few fps anyway). I know some people have placed them farther out on the limbs and say the effect on sound/vibation is better. For what they cost it is worth a try. Be willing to moved them up or down the limb to see what works best.

I just finished getting my elk set up for NM tuned. 55@27 acs cx, arrow is axis 400(28″) with 100 gr insert and 200gr WW elite. This gives me a 570gr arrow (25% FOC) at about 180fps.
I’d maybe like a litte more weight but this bareshafts well and I have a lot of confidence on it.
