in reply to: " Primitive " Bowfishing Video #27202
Good video of making the arrow….and the music was excellent. It gave a good view of the primitive way of bowfishing.

Moreton,
Thought people in Australia would be tolerant of hunting, for some reason. Sorry to hear you have to keep it to yourselves as if there’s something to be ashamed of. I think bowhunting is one of the noblest of sports there is.
What are your native game animals? I was just wondering which ones you are missing out on. Must be hard to get traditional equipment there in Oz, huh?

Wayne:Din reply to: Deer Hunters…Morning or Evening? #52572Well…I go both the mornings and evenings, depending on my work schedule and what it allows. I hunt whenever I can and hope conditions are good.
I take a week to hunt at the end of October, first week of November for the rut and these days I sometimes hunt all day long. I’ve killed a few bucks in the heart of the day.
But in answer to your question, Steve…..I prefer late afternoon-evening hunts. Waynein reply to: i shot my first tradbow deer! #47386Sam that’s just the way it happens sometimes, but like Dave said, you’ve got to ease your conscience by giving it your best effort at trying to recover it. I’m sure you’ll have more opportunities. Just stay at it. Wayne

in reply to: Eagle's Flight Quivers #45889Got one a few years back with the the cinch down straps and works great. Only time it loosend up was when I shot about a hundred arrows with it on, and I retightend it down real tight and it was fine. I like mine because it is light and and unobtrusive.8) Wayne
in reply to: Right or Left Fletching Arrows #44824[quote=fairburnhunter]I know the compound is heavier to carry into the woods, but setting up a recurve and long bow is very hard to do.

Wayne:wink:in reply to: Curious about numbers of deer most shoot. #44808We can get up to 4 in my zone in Ohio with a bow, but only one buck for the season. I usually only get one or two antlerless tags along with am either or tag. I usually donate one to the Urban Missions kitchen and share some with a friend. My wife prepares it well but doesn’t eat much venison.
I try to fill my doe tags while always having the option of taking a buck. My antlerless tags are good during the first week of gun season which I can hunt with a bow…if I dare:roll: Wayne -
