in reply to: Side quivers with arrow grippers #9549
The biggest reason that i do not like bow quivers is that do to my long draw and shooting heavy arrows I can literally feel the wight difference when I take one arrow out to shoot. So I went wit a safari tuff for stump shooting and use a pack/ quiver combo that I found to my liking.

The nice thing is the quiver comes off the pack so I could adjust to fit along my side to use for stalking.

in reply to: Caroline & David Petersen #36147Dave as i read what happened i am reminded of a little placard they gave family members for my Great-aunt passing and I think the quote is appropriate here “God looked around the garden and found an empty space. he looked down upon the earth and saw your tired face. He put his arms around you, and lifted you to rest. God’s garden must be beautiful for he only takes the best. He knew that you were weary, and he knew you were in pain. He knew that you would never be well on earth again. He saw the roads were getting rough, and the hills were hard to climb. So he closed your weary eyelids and whispered, Peace be thine. It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didn’t go alone for part of us went with you the day God called you home.” Sorry to hear of Caroline making the final journey it is never easy to lose one you love so much about. Peace be with you.
in reply to: A real nice visit with good folks today.. #32002Did you get to shoot a lot of the bows they have in stock or only work on arrows. The group at RMSG are top notch and I enjoy every visit there.
in reply to: Caroline & David Petersen #23227Dave so sorry to hear this is happening to your lovely bride. I hope you both are okay and thing turn out well. If you need any help with anything while in Denver get in touch and I will do my best.
in reply to: How do you draw? #41725I like to practice both the swing draw and draw straight back. After all if I am hunting bunny’s the swing works better and if I am sitting on a waterhole for elk the straight back works better. I shoot instinctively and found that split finger is most comfortable for me with my long draw. I try and build a platform from the ground up. However I focus on my upper body more so I can have my legs in odd positions like stepping over a log and being able to draw.
in reply to: Anything Positive @ This Winter? #8894Been enjoying the snow with lots of skiing, including teaching my 2 year old this year. However when I went out to shovel tonight I left her in since it is so brutally cold here. i.e. -10
