Pretty Poison

The bow is my 47# Yellow Jacket. Osage and glass. My favorite bow.:D:D

Oh yeah, and the weed too is poison.:D

It be silver leaf nightshade. Toxic to animals and I imagine people also. Especially if you graze or browse on it. 🙄

It’s becoming quite prolific this year.

Jean, I saw some arrows the other day, the trad guys from Oklahoma were swearing by them, Venom Bamboo Carbon shafts.

Way small diameter, 1/4″ but pretty heavy for so small, 9.3 gr. per inch for a 500 arrow.

Ought to be a tough shaft methinks.

They almost talked me into trying some but………..:DI have enough stuff to experiment with (wife says “playing with”).:D

I decided to edit after I did some thinking today.

I’m glad G Fred decided to write on the subject. A wake up call for me.

I’ve noticed the last couple of years the further I go into a 30 target 3D shoot the worse I get. I was attributing that to my getting tired but when thinking about it I seem to start losing interest anymore and thus my concentration goes away.

Why losing interest? Dunno. Maybe I’ve shot too many tournaments over the years? Maybe it’s because my competitive urge as decreased with age? Maybe I do get a bit more tired than when younger? A combination?

So that make me think that when I’m hunting maybe I need to make sure my ‘thinker’ in line more so too.

So thanks Mr. Asbell, give me another thing to concentrate on:D

The desire to win is not very important anymore, comradeship with my fellow archers is.
