in reply to: Resealing shafts? #57549The beauty of spray poly. If it is poly you use as I do. A bit of work with really fine sandpaper or some steel wool, spray and let dry.
Just think, if sloths were predators they’d be undetectable until the pounce :D. Might be a thought to another thread on here.
in reply to: Getting in shape #55179Jim, there was a time that I would’ve drank to that, now I “salute”. 🙂
in reply to: Close encounters and backup #54656Just some info I found that I thought was interesting to go along with this thread. Being careful, common sense, knowledge of our surroundings and sometimes just plain dumb luck are all that keeps us out of trouble.
” You are 12 times more likely to die of a bee sting than a bear attack (120 times more likely compared to a black bear)
You are 10 times more likely to die from a dog attack than a bear attack (45 times more likely compared to a black bear attack)
1 person out of 16,000 commits murder but only 1 grizzly bear out of 50,000 ever kills someone and only 1 black bear out of one million does. So people are much more dangerous than bears! Fear people and respect bears.
There are about 750,000 black bears in North America and on average there is less than one black bear killing per year.
For each person killed by a black bear attack there are 13 people killed by snakes, 17 by spiders, 45 by dogs, 120 by bees, 150 by tornadoes, 374 by lightning, and 60,000 by humans.”

in reply to: Naming your bow #50858If my bow could talk, the names I probably would have been called for the misuse of it’s capabilities by it’s so called “master of the bow”. 😀
in reply to: best fletching jig? #47532My Jo-Jan multi fletcher is as old as dirt and still works great for me. I’ve been able to fletch any type or size of shaft so I see no sense in changing for my business.
in reply to: River Monsters #45435You mean there was more to it than tea? 😆
in reply to: Great nock set #45163Me like it too.:P Just put it on a bow. Simple!
in reply to: Stump Shooting Day #44357in reply to: River Monsters #44349The show pointed out that some of the Native North Americans on the upper west coast prefer them to salmon. I don’t drink anymore but that might be a case of throwing the meat away and drinking the wine. 😀 Those things bout as appetizing to me as skunk or worse. I’d rather eat crow as I’m pretty used to that. 😆
in reply to: Dividing the spoils #43438We eat what we need, share with friends and I always take burger meat when we bow dudes go on tourney trips or whatever. Always we plan to leave about 1/3 to give to the local feed the hungry and homeless group.
