in reply to: Southeastern two-fletch #30001
That’s nice. Glad to see that others create points like mine. Good to know I’m not unique.
I like the two fletch. I like the cane shafts too.
Of the multitude of points we have found over the years, in western Co. and here in the Texas Panhandle, it was obvious that many, many of them were built to be functional and not works of art.

in reply to: Boom stick frustrations! #29232The biggest problem I have with my longbow is the misfit shootin it. 😆
in reply to: Backyard grizzly attack! #25747David’s kinda sneaky about the way he gets people to thinking and I like it! :D:D
in reply to: "The Good Hunt" film trailer #19303The more parts and pieces of the movie I find the more anxious I am to see it. I believe Christopher and David have a hit!!!
in reply to: Anyone die-cut their own feathers? #19234When I first started chopping feathers 30+ yrs. ago it was rare that you couldn’t get two 5″ cuts from one full length. Now I shoot for one 5″ and one 4″ or two 4″. It’s not uncommon to only get one cut these days. Leftovers are good for flu flu’s.
in reply to: Feral cats #18169Once again, don’t try blunts! We’re back 😀
in reply to: Feral cats #18125Even feral cats like catnip. Not that I’d tempt them or anything. There be a bunch less “strays” around than there were around my part of town.
Feral is a loose term as far as I’m concerned. If a cat is roaming the neighborhood killing birds and leaving them lay or taking them home (whoops) and adding to their collection of dead critters they’re feral as far as I’m concerned. We have laws dealing with animals roaming the streets and neighborhoods and cats are on the list of being contained within a fenced enclosure or upon a lease. We also have laws about firearms and whatnot being fired within the city limits but the pound will loan traps :D. Darn the luck.
in reply to: Archery References in Language #15635Now I been deep thinking :lol:, “He’s as straight as an arrow”. OK, I’m thru with deep, back to normal shallow. 😀 Ur welcome.
in reply to: Resealing shafts? #14580If you don’t use urethane over the teak oil must you use something else or what glue works with teak oil by itself if any?
in reply to: Safety Glasses #14399Steve Graf wrote: I wish I didn’t have to wear glasses while shooting a bow. I really don’t need to where them, except for that pesky problem of seeing the target 😳
Got a friend that’s always mumbling about his glasses being in the way, pulling his arrows in 3D shoot, 8, 10 ,10 ,8, 8, 10…………… Such a problem he has. 😀
in reply to: Knock Nock…. #14382in reply to: Safety Glasses #13424I think your more apt to run into a low hanging branch when hunting or stumping and poking an eye rather than when shooting a bow. Saying that, I’ve seen pics of some pretty nasty blows as a result of stringing and unstringing bows that safety glasses might have helped with the damage control or maybe added to the injury:?. But more so a football helmet would have been better.
I think keeping an eye 🙂 on your equipment to make sure it’s up to par is a really good preventative measure.
